Since I live no more that 4 blocks from the end of one of the runways at Midway Airport

Damn....if I had known I would have called! I'm there a lot with at least enough time for lunch. Spent the night not long ago and ended up having to go to eat at Hooters cause there isn't much else around the Oak Lawn Hilton. :D

Let me know next time - I work downtown, put live right there. That is a nice Hooters btw! Tell me what you are looking for in Oak Lawn - I know the area quite well.

BMI - Bloomington IL as an option. Small airport, cheap fares sometimes and it's almost a straight shot - 60 minutes or so?

BMI is not that cheap to fly into, at least not from what I have seen. Probably just a tad over 60 min trip

It's always a crapshoot. Last 3 times I flew, went out of BMI and it was 25-30$ cheaper than midway or Ohare. Go figure.

Southwest sucks but it is cheap.

Why do you say Southwest sucks? I fly them all the time, enough to have gotten a free ticket to Eloy. My flights were always on time, I had no problem carrying on my rig and they never "misplaced" my luggage. I'd say the only bad part is the cattle call for seats, but if you get there early enough that's not really a problem either.
