ladyskydiver 0 #1 January 29, 2004 Much has been said about "tough love" for misbehaving children. Most of America's populace thinks it very improper to spank children, so my spouse and I have tried other methods to control our kids when they have one of "those moments". One that we found very effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our little car ride together. I've included the photo below of one of my sessions, with our son, in case you would like to use the technique. Its very effective!Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
Dumpster 0 #2 January 29, 2004 I've used that method many times myself. Very effective. Hey - Ken, Pam, Sarah and I will be in Orlando March 29th - April 1st. Two hours in the tunnel and some jumping at Deland and/or Z-hills. Easy Does It

panzwami 0 #18 January 30, 2004 I heard a great suggestion one time on how to deal with misbehaving children. They were talking about it on a radio show and some woman called in and said that when her son threw a tantrum in public, she videotaped the whole thing and showed the tape to his friends when they came over to play. Supposedly it only took a couple times before the kid learned. I don't have any kids so I can't really speak from experience, but I thought that was a great idea.
