SkydiveMonkey 0 #1 January 25, 2004 As no-one else has mentioned anything so far .... Quite a good weekend was had by all I think. Got to the hotel friday afternoon and just chilled out. LOADS of people in the bar in the evening - quite a few more than I thought there would have been. Met some people who I haven't seen in a few years as well - good to catch up a little. Saturday was where it was all at though - missed the actually AGM (it started at 10:30 - whos' outta bed by then? ). Turned out the new membership fee will be £105.50. Amazingly people weren't exstatic about that one. There was quite a few seminars there as well such as canopy piloting, wingsuit flying, photography, etc etc. Only went to the canopy one though for some reason. Very informative - I wish a couple of people I know had attended that as they're thinking of downsizing soon. Some very good points to think about there (most of which have been posted before on here ). There was quite a few different companies in the trade hall - I now need another 4 grand to buy all the stuff I wanted there . It got very messy in the evening though - bar was supposed to close at 2am, although it stayed open until 4 (still lots of boos and hisses when they called time though ). Beer was WELL expensive though - just under 3 quid a pint / bottle. Obviously we went to the off licence after scoping out what bottles they had there so our stash wouldn't stand out . Didn't even make it back to MY room until about 10am (did get a nice place to sleep for the night though ). Lots of hungover people checking out this morning. Sign of good times. I'm sure someone will be posting photos later. Macca and Quickdraw will add on to this I'm sure (whatever they say about me is probably true , along with the other dot commers who were there____________________ Say no to subliminal messages

yoink 321 #6 January 25, 2004 Had to chuckle.. non-skydiver brought his wife to this four-star hotel for a nice romantic, relaxing weekend away... oops... chose the wrong weekend there mate! First thing he sees is the bar full of skydivers at 11am Better luck next time! Good time... absolutely knackered now... Sorry I didn't get to meet a few of you. Next time maybe! BTW, I think 5 tables got trashed this year... nice to see we're improving on last years record!

QuickDraw 0 #11 January 25, 2004 Many laughs many, many beers, lots of new faces as well as old. Got plenty of photos of people with condoms on their shoulders too. I had a great time and lasted a lot longer than last year, although the money was much tighter this time. Jolly good show though, and i'll be back for round three next year. Sorry about the room Yoink, i didn't get your pm till today mate. -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning

BBKid 0 #17 January 25, 2004 You obviously didn't sleep in your car! Talk about freezing. I was a bit crap actually, I suppose since I'd been feeling a bit ill for a few days. Didn't meet any other dotcommers, had a bloody good laugh with my mates, then went to my car for something at around 2am then woke up in it at 9! Of course, I have full blown flu now, so it's probably best I didn't hang out with you lot, since I would now be unwelcome at any further get-togethers. Oh well, roll an Alana's birthday! vt1977 0 #19 January 26, 2004 Well, it’s now Monday morning and my head has now kind of stopped spinning . I had an awesome time at the AGM – I got to meet a load of people, I got stupidly drunk, I danced on tables and had almost no sleep! What a night! (But I felt like sh*te yesterday!) Alana – it was fun dancing on the table with you and Steph – at least we didn’t break our one! It was great to meet Macca – what a cool guy! Spend some time hanging out with Beth - we had fun! I met Matt at the dinner – I must apologise to Matt, he came over to say hello just as I was in the midst of having a paper aeroplane fight with some guys at the St. Andrews table (I got Quickdraw a few times! ) and I didn’t get a chance to get to meet him again. So hello Matt! It was great to meet you! I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did! Vicki
Zeemax 0 #20 January 26, 2004 you must have been talking to someone else... Spike 0 #21 January 26, 2004 Hey sweetie, I'm sorry, I didn't think it was my driving making you green, I thought it was the previous 18 hours of extreme drinking. Didn't you think I took the trip home slower than the ride to the AGM. I had a fabulous time, the attendance at the psychology seminar blew John and myself away. Having been moved back to the last slot of the day, we were expecting only a handfull of peeps to show, with more people in the bar or getting ready for the meal. But it was standing room only. Totally wowed us. Hope people got something usefull from the presentation, apart from the free vids and pullups.I got to have my first (yes I was buying drinks all night long) drink since New Years eve.Our American hotties, proved themselves to be exactly that. Top totty. I got to have a dance with a gorgeous little skychickie.I got a very nice kiss goodnight from another delightfull young ladyMet lots of .commers, Quickdraw (nice duds man, you scrub up good), Macca we have to jump some time, and yeah good on ya for getting it on and jumping the following day.Complaints. I didn't get to dance with Vicki (Gremlin was right, her card was fully booked), Alana, Steph or Beth. You guys had better be ready to dance at Alana's birthday bash, 'cause I'm prebooking my dances now, Ok.Hey Alana, does my invite to your birthday party still stand?
