Michele 1 #2 January 30, 2004 From the article.... "His defense argued that since the victim had volunteered to be killed and eaten, the crime should be classified a mercy killing, which carries a five-year maximum penalty." Oh my word....this is about as sick as it gets.... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
Rebecca 0 #3 January 30, 2004 This one really got me. I didn't follow the trial, but initial reports stated that, judging by the video, the 'victim' was coherent and clearly stated his wishes to be killed and consumed. Which the cannibal did. Even into the process, the victim encouraged Meiwes. So yeah, illegal and bizarre, but I guess it's good that he at least had consent... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? lawrocket 3 #4 January 30, 2004 It has happened in the US, as well, but without the cannibalism. Look here for the story of a Maryland woman whose fantasy it was to be tortured and killed. She found a man willing to do it in North Carolina. My wife is hotter than your wife.

riddler 0 #8 January 30, 2004 QuoteA state court ruled that Armin Meiwes, a 42-year-old computer expert who met his victim on the Internet, had no "base motives" in the crime -- sparing him a murder conviction. How 'bout - he was hungry?Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

Rebecca 0 #11 January 30, 2004 The victim made sure he was conscious for that part, but he'd already lost a bunch of blood by then, so I don't think that was the starting point. Ick. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
