Jib 0 #1 January 30, 2004 I almost fell over when I saw a rider on my disability policy INCLUDING skydiving! Granted it's only 2 years of benefits and it doesn't kick in until 181 days, but they didn't exclude it. kelel01 1 #2 January 30, 2004 Hey a 2 year policy with a 180-elimination period isn't too bad . . . do you have Short Term Disability as well? Kelly
Muenkel 0 #3 January 30, 2004 Hey Jib, I don't know how what your disability is or what the length of your recovery is expected to be, but I want to suggest you contact Social Security (If you haven't already). If your prognosis is a minimum of a 12 month recovery, then you are eligible to also receive disability pay from Social Security on top of your private disability insurance. Fortunately for me, I am receiving both. PM me if you have any questions. Get well soon. Chris _________________________________________ Chris
Jib 0 #4 January 30, 2004 Nope, just got the policy. Hopefully won't need it. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. Larry Flynt
Muenkel 0 #5 January 30, 2004 Oh, I misread your post. Hope you don't have to use it either. My disability policy covers skydiving related injuries also, but my injury was not skydiving related. blue skies buddy, Chris _________________________________________ Chris
Aviatrr 0 #6 January 30, 2004 If I'm not taken to the hospital in an ambulance, my injuries will NEVER be skydiving related. Stairs....stairs are dangerous.. Mike

harryskydives 0 #9 January 31, 2004 Be careful that your insurance company does not subrogate against the owner of those stairs that caused your fall. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
dsbbreck 0 #10 January 31, 2004 Being a professional Tandem master and videographer, short term disability insurance is what I need. I don't care about after 6 months. I need benefits for the 6 months I'm out recovering and not making any money. Anybody got insurance like this or know of any?David "Socrates wasn't killed because he had the answer.......he was killed because he asked the question."
