AggieDave 6 #1 January 31, 2004 Something about the seemingly consistant 15mph winds that Texas has had for the past month-2months really annoys me. How are you supposed to have a hit-shit swoop in 15mph winds? You can hook the piss out of your canopy, get the altitude just right, come screaming in, then only swoop 150ft. Atleast, that's me with the Stiletto 170 I'm bumming from a friend while I wait for my new XF2 149 to get made. Funny, if I had a canopy with more of a closed nose and a higher wingloading, I'd get a longer swoop in these winds...man, I want my new canopy NOW, since its both of those! --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Aviatrr 0 #8 January 31, 2004 QuoteHmmm...this Downwind you speak of, would it be good video? Oh yea....great video...just make sure there are as many cameras as possible taping your swoop. And wear one on your head, too. Be sure to dub all the copies to one video for us to laugh at....errr, I mean, for us to admire.. Mike

McDuck 0 #11 January 31, 2004 Oh, I wasn't speaking from DIRECT experience, mind you. I've just watched some people who really need to be entering into sprint heats at the summer games. Apparently they are worried about grass stains on the trap-door. skygod7777 0 #12 January 31, 2004 dude those are perfect swooping winds. you just downwind it, and you'll hvae the longest swoop of you life. i promise. and then you start trying to dial in downwind landings, which is tough trying to stop where you want. but it's good practice so when you go to an accracy swoop come, and the course is downwind, you'll know you can still stop in the right place. lata
