websites for travelers

I'm in the process of planning my drive from California to Florida... I've done it before but without a laptop. This time I want to have a full complement of helpful websites to peruse each morning before I check out of the motel.

I found this today. Weather and road condition info for all 50 US states, weather is searchable by interstate number (5 day forecast).

Now if only I could find a website listing free wireless internet access points that was searchable by interstate number... I know about this site, but it only lists by state and city name.

So all you wired travelers out there. What websites have you found helpful while you're on the road?

You could try looking for starbucks with wireless, but it's the same problems.

Nah, I'm flying there on Tuesday morning (two sleeps and a wakeup away!). Gonna spend a few days with the kid and parents, visit some friends and sort through the rest of my crap, then load it into a rental van and drive it all home on the 9th.

I just left my Wifi card active the whole drive to FL from Ohio and i was able to surf at about 50% of the gas stations I stoped at. So many people have wifi spots misconfigured at home its not funny.
