kansasskydiver 0 #5 February 1, 2004 The site loads super fast, not a problem anywhere. Very nicely laid out and everything. Bravo! Download speeds for my DSL connection were 159KB/sec average. Max was 198KB/sec Everyone will be impressed<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!

Cornholio 0 #8 February 1, 2004 Dave your site must be getting raped, cause I'm only getting 150K, unlike the 400-500K I was getting the other day. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! CanuckInUSA 0 #9 February 2, 2004 QuoteWanna beta test skydivingmovies.com? I'll PM you. Anyone else? PM me. Hmmm ... maybe this should be a PM? Anyway, I have just completed a video of my Eloy Holiday Boogie experience (the mpeg version is 74 MB and the AVI is 1.5 Gig). But skydivingmovies.com isn't up and available for me to post it to? If not, I will ask someone at work if I can host it from there. Otherwise I will have to try and find somewhere else to host it. But it really is worth watching. PhreeZone 20 #10 February 2, 2004 Reduce the Mpeg to WMV and it will be under 30 megs. Much better for people to download then the 70 meg version.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
CanuckInUSA 0 #11 February 2, 2004 The software I currently use to make my movie(s) doesn't allow me to create WMV files. But I guess I can use some other software to convert the MPEG file into a WMV. I recently had a hell of a time converting a WMV file into a AVI file. But in the end I did what I set out to do (which was to retrieve the video feed of this WMV file). By the way, I use VideoStudio version 7.x from ULead and it does the job. But it's far from perfect. I'm tempted to contact ULead and tell them what I like and don't like about their product. But then again, I'm not sure it's worth the effort. They likely didn't have people like myself in mind (using many many 1-5 second long clips throughout a movie) when they wrote their software. PhreeZone 20 #12 February 2, 2004 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx Run that against the AVI and it will spit out a WMV file thats much smaller then the MPG. I reccommend VHS quality at ~250-300kbs and FM quality sound. That puts it out to about 5 megs a minute for the end result.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

skygod7777 0 #19 February 3, 2004 QuoteDude I don't know what type of canopy you were jumping but it just unsold me... Too many cutaways for me it's a velo. and i think it was caused by a ragged out pilot chute or something, wasn't ray?? either that or ray just doesn't know how to pull stable it's not the canopy, even though i love my vx, the velo's are still kick ass canopies. later

Too many cutaways for me It had nothing to do with the canopy, I changed the pc, and ive had perfect openings ever since. F111 pilot chutes dont last as long as zp ones and after 1000 jumps without even changing the kill lines they just dont work as good, if you see the canopy was always spun up before it even came out of the bag.
