I managed to find a place without a wait and turned my all white car back to it's natural black. Now I see this (and we are supposed to get snow every day but Wed this week): URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHICAGO IL 300 PM CST MON FEB 2 2004 .A WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS ILLINOIS...AND INTO LOWER MICHIGAN TONIGHT. SNOW...MIXED AT TIMES WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN THIS EVENING...WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY BY NIGHTFALL AND CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING TO FLURRIES AROUND MIDNIGHT. LINGERING LIGHT SNOW AND FLURRIES WILL LIKELY PERSIST INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 2 TO 5 INCHES WITH THE LARGER AMOUNTS OVER NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...AND LESSER AMOUNTS OVER NORTHWEST INDIANA. THE COMBINATION OF MIXED PRECIPITATION AND ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL LIKELY RESULT IN TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHEST INDIANA THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. BENTON IN-COOK IL-DUPAGE IL-FORD IL-GRUNDY IL-IROQUOIS IL-JASPER IN- KANKAKEE IL-KENDALL IL-LA SALLE IL-LAKE IN-LIVINGSTON IL-NEWTON IN- PORTER IN-WILL IL- 300 PM CST MON FEB 2 2004 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST (7 AM EST) TUESDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY...FOR AREAS ROUGHLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM MENDOTA ILLINOIS TO ELGIN AND HIGHLAND PARK ILLINOIS. THIS INCLUDES THE CHICAGO METROPOLITAN AREA. A MIXTURE OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW WILL CHANGE TO ALL SNOW BY NIGHTFALL. THE STEADIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED BETWEEN 300 PM AND 900 PM. OCCASIONAL LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES WILL THEN CONTINUE INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. TOTAL SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES...WITH THE HEAVIER ACCUMULATIONS ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80...AND THE LESSER AMOUNTS IN NORTHWEST INDIANA SOUTH OF THE KANKAKEE RIVER. THIS MIXTURE OF SNOW AND ICE WILL CAUSE ROADS AND WALKWAYS TO BECOME HAZARDOUS.
