lewmonst 0 #201 January 26, 2004 Robin, Thank you. You are so sweet. I think we're okay on loaner gear for now. I wish I could tell you whose ass to kick, we still don't know the cause of the fire. If I did know who (if it wasn't an accident)... oooh, all i'd have to say is watch out. no worries, we've been crying a lot. there is no positive outcome from any insurance for Ed and I. most others are better off with a little help from insurance. some are lucky cause they had infinity's and are getting replacements. one who lost a rig has a good sponsors which cannot help everyone in the same way... several of us are not lucky in such ways. Leif & Anikin are in as deep of doodoo as Ed and I are. they didn't lose as many cameras as us, but their gear was from europe and they came here just to work at the dz... We're supposed to order replacement stuff this week... yeah, right. Thanks again to Terry who was so generous on Saturday jumping on a cloudy day to support us. Thanks to everyone who has donated to the Instructors fund on paypal and posted well wishes. There will be an official Instructor Burn Out Boogie on Febuary 7th/8th with all kinds of fun stuff, organizing, raffles, auction... all proceeds go to instructors fund. stay tuned for details. extra thanks to Skydive Suffolk for lots of student equipment loans... Missy Nelson and everyone who has kept us up in the air. thank you all for your help. sincerely, lewhttp://www.exitshot.com
Cajones 0 #202 January 26, 2004 Thanks for the screen shots, Gimp. They were beautiful while they were with us. I still have hopes Mirage will make me new ones. If anyone has friends at Mirage... Can you put in a good word for me??? We are supposed to order all of our PD canopies today. I have a really nice Gold and Stainless Rolex watch for sale. I'm sure the person who passed it on to me would understand I have to sell it now. Any serious buyers please contact me, ASAP. - Cajones The laws of physics are strictly enforced. Michele 1 #204 January 29, 2004 I like the "weeeeeeeeeeee." My fridge is covered with pictures that my nephew and niece have drawn for me. My favorite is "Dancing Turkeys." Kids touch you in ways you didn't know you could be touched... Thanks for sharing. uberscuba 0 #206 February 3, 2004 Hey Lew, I was on that fire, if you know, what time did the first call go in. After we were dispatched it only took us 4-5 minutes to arrive onscene, and we were the second company on scene. If the call came in by cell, CHP would handle the call and transfer it to our dispatch. It might have been delayed in transfer. Sorry about your gear. Later. lewmonst 0 #207 February 3, 2004 uberscuba, Your profile is not filled out. what is your name? did you used to jump? did we speak that morning? thank you for the work you did putting it out. I don't know when the call went in, or who finally got through. It wasn't me, and from everyone else's account, who was outside watching the fire for quite a while, they stated 15 minutes. One skydiver took some video when the fire department did arrive and the process it took to get the fire under control... thanks lewhttp://www.exitshot.com
uberscuba 0 #208 February 3, 2004 I dont think I spoke to anyone there. I've checked out Skydive Elsinore but was told I am over the weight limit for student or tandem jumps. Being that I'm somewhat large (255 lbs.) Anyways, if you know who has video I would like to get a copy if possible. Thanks, Dave Uberscuba

KawiZX900 0 #210 February 3, 2004 Looks like Emmet should skip a grade judging by his handwritting. thats a sweet card Lew. Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. Guaranteed reaction- Dave Sonsky
