RyanLikesToFall 0 #1 February 2, 2004 Sigh.... I went to the DZ to go for my second AFF jump, excited and antsy with anticipation. Well, the weather went bad, contrary to what was forecasted. I'm spiraling into a deep depression that I fear I may never recover from. The sky calls to me, but the heavens taunt me and torture me with bad weather. Alas, it seems I may never jump again...so little time...
jimmytavino 16 #2 February 2, 2004 you're good!!!!!! .... as for the AFF... hang in there regarding weather days... If you are at a DZ that has some form of activity going on,,,( people gathering,, videos playing, instructors doing classroom work with students,),, then show up anyway,,, and sit in on some "follow up and review..".... we learn best when we let our ears and our eyes do the work....... don't worry,,,, the skydives will come....and when they do,,, you will be better prepared, to do your best. gerryfuss 0 #3 February 2, 2004 Don't cry too much Ryan. Why don't you switch spots with me. You come up to Ontario and I'll go down to texas. Then when it's a cloudy day I'll say " Maybe tomorrow" and when you see a beautiful clear day you can say "Alas, shall I dare to freeze my balls off?" . Oh, you don't want to switch? Yeah, didn't think so.

RyanLikesToFall 0 #5 February 2, 2004 Well, I am in the Theatre department at my school. Right now I'm working on a deep southern civil war general type character. My favorite line is ,"It's gettin' thicker than corn bread in pot likker with those two." Heh, great stuff. Yeah, I'll be alright though. Maybe this coming weekend. And maybe I'll be able to do 2 jumps, considering I will have more money. Gotta look on the bright side...

champu 1 #10 February 2, 2004 well if a tragedy is a "drama or literary work in which the main character is brought to ruin or suffers extreme sorrow, especially as a consequence of a tragic flaw, moral weakness, or inability to cope with unfavorable circumstances" then I'd say this is indeed a horrible tragedy. RyanLikesToFall 0 #13 February 3, 2004 To me it WAS a horrible tragedy. I can't wait to jump again, and when you look forward to something for two weeks straight and end up not being able to go, then it can be pretty sad. Sorry if I offended anyone. It's not like I called your house and told you a loved one died, and then said "Gotcha!".

Skyrad 0 #17 February 3, 2004 Hey Ryan, welcom to Skydiving! Just in case you were wondering about people saying your post title is in bad tase, just look at how many people have viewed the post compared to other posts. Maybe a mistake, we all make 'em but on a Skydiving board its not a good title mate. Hope it all gos well for the rest of your AFF.
