kansasskydiver 0 #1 February 3, 2004 How much do you get per tandem? And do you own your rig or use the dz's? Just trying to get an idea of what the going rate is as I'll be getting my rating here shortly.<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!
PhreeZone 20 #2 February 3, 2004 There is a thread on this in the S&T or GSD fourm already... lots of good info but most people make about $25 to use the DZ rig.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
GroundZero 0 #3 February 3, 2004 My payload is simply based on my weight, as it may fluctuate 10 pounds over the year... soo.... 500lbs...(gross weight with vector or strong a few more with another rig) less weight of rig...~50 lbs, less my average weight ~165 lbs leaves a typical max payload of 285 pounds up front... I prefer less (and prefer cute young girls who think I'm Superman, but I'm also very happily married, so the other guys usually get them.) Chris (and I usually get paid $25 for the jump.) PhreeZone 20 #4 February 3, 2004 No fair... Chris made a smart ass reply! I wanna make one of those too! I used to think it was fun to take all the hot girls then I realized... it IS fun to take the hot girls for tandems! I wear my Superbird shirt since all the girls want me instead of Chris then Packers make the most, in the time it takes to train a student thats one pack job if not 2. Climb up to altitude is at least 1 or 2 more. The landing, debriefing, logbook and other things is another pack job. Where as I earned $25 for one jump, the packer could make $60Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
kansasskydiver 0 #5 February 3, 2004 is that before or after your ticket? we pay out tm $70 per load. he owns his rig and that is after his slot too. I get $40 for video after my slot Are we above average? Does the dz really keep $40 to use the rig at other places?<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! AggieDave 6 #6 February 3, 2004 I get paid $30. I don't own the gear, so that's my pay for just me. The DZ takes the rest for gear, slots, etc.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
sdctlc 0 #7 February 3, 2004 Get from $30 to $35 and dont have to pack. Add another $10 if I pack.. Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
GroundZero 0 #8 February 3, 2004 ...actually at my dz I pay... 5/head... to train (do video, waivers, and bout an hour training after that... we do a level one sorta skydive... exit, COA, prcp, geek etc... 5.5 waveoff, student pulls). 25 to person who hauls 'em. 25 to rent outside gear (or 25 for amortization of our own gear). 10 for packing Total paid... $65.00 to the guy who dose it all... 40 for 2 slots on the airplane... $105 gross cost for my DZ... (gross... now subtract lights, rent, advertising, etc...DAMN, the phone just got cut off again!) How do people do $99 tandems? Chris
PhreeZone 20 #9 February 3, 2004 >How do people do $99 tandems? They don't pay the $5 to train, they only charge $12-15 for the slots... thats a savings of $15 right there. I'm lucky... Manifest does all the waivers, they just call me up to get a student. I have usually 25 minutes from then till plane call to train them. We do a fun/ ride along jump for the first one... minimal training.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
nightjumps 1 #10 February 3, 2004 My rig & training - $70.00 DZ packer - subtract $10.00 DZ Gear & training - $30.
diablopilot 2 #11 February 3, 2004 $30, $15 more for over 200lbs, and $ more if I train em'---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
jdthomas 0 #12 February 4, 2004 I get 35$ per student and an extra 10$ if I pack it. Use of "personall" rigs are not widely accepted, but if so then I think the pay is 75$www.greenboxphotography.com
