Vallerina 2 #1 February 4, 2004 If any of you wonder why I've been such a post whore lately, it's because I cannot concentrate on work. My eyes burn because I'm so tired, and I keep feeling dizzy (I had a fever last night which was gone by the morning, but I think it's come back.) I have a stomach ache, too, and I keep feeling like I'm going to vomit whenever I eat. I have all of my "pity Val" problems because of the antibiotic I'm on (I think...I've had some of these problems for 5 days or so.) I don't want to call my dentist again with my problems. I'm feeling like utter crap, though. What's the secret to making myself feel better? I've tried oj, but that does nothing. I'm drinking lots of water, but that doesn't seem to help. Caffeine wakes me up for an hr or so; I guess I can try more of that. I don't get much iron; would that make me feel better? I've been taking my vitamins as well. I'm not sick enough to stay home, but I'm miserable sitting at work. (No, not asking for a pity party, I'm just wondering what I can do to boost my immune system and make me feel better.)There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Skyrad 0 #3 February 4, 2004 maybe its the antibiotics, how about seeing if the Dentist chan change them? If this still persists then maybe get a checkout with the Dr. Hope your feeling better soon. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Vallerina 2 #5 February 4, 2004 Quotemaybe its the antibiotics, how about seeing if the Dentist chan change them? If this still persists then maybe get a checkout with the Dr. Hope your feeling better soon. I'm hesitant about doing that because she just switched me from another antibiotic. (I finished all of them, and my swollen lymph node wasn't going away.) I'm gonna try to tough it out through this antibiotic since it's actually getting the swelling down considerably. But, if I still feel like crap, I guess I can call the dentist tomorrow or something. QuoteTry taking some herbs (not that other stuff) or energy stuff. Are you getting a decent night sleep I went to bed really early the past two nights, but I didn't sleep well. I keep tossing and turning (especially last night.) It sucks. I can't sleep well because I'm sick. I'm getting sicker because I can't sleep! I can't eat because my stomach doesn't like it. I'm getting sicker because I can't eat! EricaH 0 #6 February 4, 2004 I take nite quil to sleep - only thing that works. get your iron!! B-12 (if the full B complex it's better) helps pick up the mood too. you know the tricks of eating crackers & the what not. try tea also, but w/ honey, the natural sugar will sit better & is a pick up too. my mom swears on ecenashia (I know it's spelled wrong) - but I don't really believe in it. the NW train station has a newer food place called the soup box - really good stuff & easier on the tummy. hope you feel better! There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)
jmpnkramer 0 #7 February 4, 2004 Nyquill, SOCO, and rest. Lots of rest. Eat minimal. Always worked for me when I was on active duty. Then again the running thing I had to do probably helped as well. Run 5+ miles aday and a cold cannot stay in your body. Laters, .The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! "HESITATION CAUSES DEATH!!!" Vallerina 2 #8 February 4, 2004 QuoteThen again the running thing I had to do probably helped as well. Run 5+ miles aday and a cold cannot stay in your body. I wish it was just a cold!!! (I think it's an allergic reaction to the medication....my fever is back at 101.) I run 3 miles at least every other day, but my body is in way too much pain right now. It hurt doing my mile walk to work this morning. That's part of the reason I'm avoiding going home....I don't want to do the mile walk back to the train station! Thanks for the advice, all. I'm taking supplements and all that junk, but I still don't feel better. I'm gonna eat some chicken noodle soup and see if I can go home and sleep! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
jmpnkramer 0 #9 February 4, 2004 That's right you had wisdom teeth removed or something. Didn't you? Or you need them done? Something like that. I cannot help you there. I went to the hospital to have mine done because it was too serious to have in the normal office. I got a dry socket which was not comfy at all. Aside from that I do not know what else to say. ALcohol always works though mixed with good pain meds. Laters, .The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! "HESITATION CAUSES DEATH!!!" bobsled92 0 #10 February 4, 2004 Excederine Extra Strength, the caffine realses slower and longer. THen get a photo (from mag.) of a place you'd rather be at and place it where it's in your general view. ladyskydiver 0 #11 February 4, 2004 Are the antibiotics ones that you can take with food? Maybe having something in your stomach when taking them might help with the "wanting to vomit" feel. However, if this has been going on for a few days, you may want to talk to the dentist just to let them know what's going on.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Sebazz1 2 #16 February 4, 2004 You probably have the winter doldrums. Short days, little sunshine, cold weather, leafless trees, etc. How long has it been since you'be been able to wear some shorts or roll the windows down in your car or sit outside without a jacket or sweater. It is winter time. Vitamins, working out, forcing yourself to get outdoors and maybe even a weekend trip somwhere warm could help. As spring comes you'll be healed. Your energy will return. Just an idea... edited to add ~ This is what I try to do and it works sometimes. Pretend it's not winter. If I were you, I'd put my doctor and dentist in touch and make sure each knows what's going on. I wouldn't want a dentist being the only one treating an infection that had caused swollen lymph nodes.
