Muenkel 0 #1 February 4, 2004 Surgery was scheduled for 7:30am EST. I went in yesterday for all the tests and then early this morning they woke me up to redo tests. I thought, hmm, this is weird. It turns out that there has been a significant decrease in the pressure in my brain and the doctor feels it is not necessary to go through surgery at this point but to keep it monitored. Holy shit, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I just got home about a 1/2 hour ago and can't believe I get to sleep in my own place tonight. I still have a lengthy recovery, but I am so psyched right now. Thanks everyone for the vibes and prayers and whatevers you sent my way. They work!!!!Now if we can funnel all the vibes you sent my way to Michele, that would be great. Her surgery is scheduled for 10:30am PST. Blue skies everyone, Chris _________________________________________ Chris

If I remember correctly she had some kind of cyst on something and just before they brought her into the OR, the cyst drained and she didn't need the surgery. When they ran the tests on me last night, they saw the difference, but didn't tell me as they didn't want to get my hopes up. Instead, I got the most awesome sleeping drug. At 5am, they re-ran some tests and a while later gave me the good news. I still feel really doped up from the drugs, so I may sleep the rest of the day. And Kelly, they did not shave my head!Chris _________________________________________ Chris
 flygirl03 0 #20 February 4, 2004 † Prayer = Miracles Glad you are the recipient of one ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ earthbound misfit
 airdweller 0 #21 February 4, 2004 Thats great news!Keep up your good spirits, It's probably the best medicine.------------------------------------------------------ "From the mightiest pharaoh to the lowliest peasant, who doesn't enjoy a good sit?"
