dkf1979 0 #1 February 7, 2004 Just added some things to my website. Was it to much? Does it take to long to load?http://bodypilot.bounceme.net

jumpinjackflash 0 #4 February 8, 2004 Not bad at all, I'm dialed in from my sons hospital room and I thought it loaded up nicely! Good job, nice design. Great site. Peace, JackIt's a gas, gas, gas...
dkf1979 0 #5 February 8, 2004 Are you on AOL b1jercat? My friend uses aol and he doesn't get any photos to show either. Maybe something to do with AOL?http://bodypilot.bounceme.net
souleh 0 #6 February 8, 2004 Most of the page works fine, except for the image to the left of 'Dans Skydiving Page' at the top. I'm dialed in from the UK. Nice site though 'buttplugs? where?' - geno
champu 1 #7 February 8, 2004 I have DSL, and it took me about 5 seconds to load the page... this is a bad thing, particularly since the internet is still about 2/3 dial-up users. I have a few comments. the 100KB animated gif is not a real good idea, particularly for the front page of the site. Another issue you're going to face when using a program like microsoft publisher, is that you are going to get big html too, that page is ~95KB of code, all to do what could probably be done in about 5KB of code (an average page on this forum is on the order of 30KB) I'd say no page should really be above 100KB (text + images) and the front page of the site should be even more stingy, maybe more like 60KB. The site looks good, but you'd do yourself good to try and ween your way off of publisher sooner rather than later.
b1jercat 0 #8 February 8, 2004 Got it in one. I get the text and the links work but no picks. Aol sucks but everytime I bitch at teck support they give me two more months free-go figure. blue skies Jerry
cruzlite 0 #9 February 8, 2004 Clocked it at 35 sec to 'cups', - 54 sec to pic/up-lft-crnr. As one with perhaps, third grade computer skills, (and a dial-up delivering 49.2 kbps as I squeak this out), my tendency is to right click the little box (the one with the geometric figures) before it loads... (wouldn't have known it would self-load if I hadn't been timing it) Impressive, I was very impressed with Ryan's comments & site as well. (Q. If you used MS pub.- what did he use?)
