Clownburner 0 #1 January 18, 2004 I can't miss enough work to go to both of them... Which one should I go to?? I went to Rantoul last year and had a blast, but I've heard great things about Lost Prarie...7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth

Unstable 9 #4 January 18, 2004 I've heard amazing things about Lost Prarie - but how can it, or any other boogie for that matter (Yes, even Couch Freaks), Compare against Rantoul??? WFFC 2004!!!!=========Shaun ==========
Amazon 7 #5 January 18, 2004 Well lets see.. Lost prairie is situated in a beatuiful mountain valley 45 miles from the nearest large town of Kalispel Montana, It is near the most remote brewrey in America ( Lang Creek maker of Skydiver Blondehttp://www.langcreekbrewery.com/story.html) ITs a hell of a party and a bunch of people jump too The lake at the foot of the road is several miles long and very deep with Lake Trout ( bigones.. I will be draggin my 25' cabin cruiser over) Oh and the water Temp was 75 degrees and the water is crystal clear. Last year there were about 500 jumpers.. and the airplanes from Skydive Arizona were there to provide the rides. Day time temps were warm in the 90's and one day were up to 104 degrees but the humidity is very low (30% unlike the 90 % in the Midwest in the summer) and by the time the sun goes down it drops into the 50's at night....good sleeping after partying. The showers are adequate and its pretty much a camping out kind of boogie. Some people brought campers or trailers but many were just in their tents. I will be going to LP again and there were some DZ.Com types there but I think I counted less than 10.. then again at that time I did not know that many.. now I know a lot more. Perhaps more opf you will come join us in the mountians for a good party.. smoked salmon and a HELL of a party with a lot of very good people.

moodyskydiver 0 #7 January 18, 2004 I've never been to LP but I seem to recall screaming praises favoring WFFC last year. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
freeflir29 0 #8 January 18, 2004 I'm in the same boat. I did WFFC 2002. It was TOO much fun. Great jumps....great parties.....great people. However....I haven't seen my house in Montana since November 2000. I'm jonesing for a trip down the river and some 3+Lb rainbows. Definately having a hard time deciding. Unstable 9 #9 January 18, 2004 I vote For WFFC 2004!! Oh, Damn, Looks like I already voted & posted already. Well, I still say Rantoul.=========Shaun ==========
cocheese 0 #10 January 18, 2004 I'd say L.P. because you haven't been there yet and it is closer. It's more of a nature trip than a carnival like Rantoul. Lp may seem mellow compared to Rantoul. Tough call but go get Lost... you'll be glad you did.

skyyhi 0 #14 January 18, 2004 Well, I am voting for lost prairie. . .but mainly because it will probably be my first "Away" boogie and I thought WFFC might be a bit much for this newbie. . .besides. . .I love fish. . .________________________________________ Take risks not to escape life… but to prevent life from escaping. ~ A bumper sticker at the DZ FGF #6 Darcy
skymama 37 #15 January 18, 2004 I haven't been to either, but it seems logical to me for you to go to LP this year since you've already been to WFFC. Then next year you can make your decision based off your own experiences, not other people's. Eveyone looks for different things in a boogie. NoShitThereIWas 0 #22 January 19, 2004 I aked myself the same question last summer and chose Rantoul. I have to say, I was NOT disappointed. Hoping to make it out again this summer in 2004. I have heard great things about LP, too. I'll make it out there one of these days, I think I'll try and get a little better first at my fly fishing skills though cause I'm not going to Montana in the summer without a fly fishing pole Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires."
