Clownburner 0 #8 February 11, 2004 Telnet to port 53 isn't a reliable test; Telnet uses TCP, which is only used for zone-transfers in DNS and therefore is often blocked or filtered (like on my name server). Regular DNS lookups use UDP. To test that, you can use netcat, NMAP, DIG, or similar tools.
