freeflir29 0 #1 February 11, 2004 So...it's 4:22 PM....I was supposed to go get a haircut today, do laundry, and wash my car but..ya know.....it's my day off. So...instead I have been sitting around the house post whoring and working on my camera helmet. Well.....I couldn't really finish the set up until my Step ring showed up. Just so I could make sure everything, including the WA lens, fit OK before I drilled the last hole for the thumb screw. Whattya know.......If I had been gone I may have missed the UPS guy! My ring is here!!!! I can now drill that last hole, mount the ringsight, and mount my Cam Eye II!! What a great day it is.......At least I get to play with my new toys! happythoughts 0 #6 February 11, 2004 Camera helmets are handy, even if you aren't skydiving. Plenty of around-the-house uses. You can capture that "surprised" look at a certain moment.
freeflir29 0 #7 February 11, 2004 Quotei have a REALLY basic helmet and it's worth about $1000 said and done Lets see...... Invertigo X- $250+ Dbox-$170+ Cam Eye II- $55 Articulated Ringsight- ~$100 (I think, Can't remember) PC-105 with lenses and accessories- $900+ Cheap Cannon Compact still cam- ~$60-80 I think Stroboframe- ~$60 Lets not even get into the HOURS of labor and practice jumps setting it up. Plus the "custom" stuff like having to solder my own wires into the still cam so I can remote it.
