CanuckInUSA 0 #1 February 11, 2004 Well it appears that I am becoming a true skydiving gear nut. I currently possess two Wings containers (my new one just arrived and it sure is purty and it fits like a glove), plus a used Vector3 container. I currently possess three PD reserve canopies (two 143s and a 193), I currently possess three Cypres units (one of them is a Cypres2 and another one was just shipped to SSK Industries for it's four year check) and while I currently only possess one main canopy (my Crossfire2 139 which I absolutely love), I am awaiting the arrival of a used Spectre 150. Oh and on top of that, an order for a true darkside rig from Basic Research was made and I eagerly await it's arrival sometime in mid April and I hope to be submitting an order for a GTi wingsuit sometime next week once I get measured for it. My current Wings container, my 193 PD Reserve and my original Cypres are likely to be sold to a friend soon (this weekend is likely the last time I will jump this gear). But I included it in all of this as I still own it and have yet to receive any $$$ for it from my friend or anyone else yet. So as far as I'm concerned, it's still part of my gear collection. So have I turned into a good gear rat? I know my retirement funds are not happy with me, but who cares when I get a chance to jump all this nifty-neat-o gear. Oh I will be posting some pictures of the new container once it's all assembled, but attached is a preview of what it looks like, and it looks and fits even better in real life. bobsled92 0 #12 February 11, 2004 After 12 years at it, I tend to keep my past equipment, almost as a sentimental thing. Loaning complete(w/CYPRES) gear to folks just off student btu, not yet buying, has a personal reward as my gear is with large canopys and safe wing loads for folks that would be buying under 220 canopys in 50 more jumps. I let their coaches deem if the gear I lend would be in their best interest. Selling the gear is same change. Helping others is an endlesss reward._______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/

I smell at least a new Voodoo or Jav Odyssey in my future and we'll have to see how many jumps I get this year. Maybe I'll also pick up that Xaos 135! One item I will be picking up soon is a camera suit with BIG FAT wings!

Several blank skydiving pilot chutes waiting for a bridle to put them on. Bunch of risers, and the parts to make more. 3 jumpsuits including one camera 1 Freefly Pants 2 weight vests.. (might be down to 1) one Chestmount ... It's a Cross bow. Hmm. I'm thinking planned cutaway... ..and that ain't all... Jeez, is that much stuff really needed? aero04 0 #22 February 12, 2004 I hate you all!!!!! ALL!!!!!!!! Yea, j/k. I'll just have to be happy with my 15 year old Racer, 12 year old main, 14 year old Reserve and 10 year old Cypress and I don't know how old alti. Fortunately, I do have a new Bonehead and freefly pants. So it isn't quite as bad as it sounds, but close.

Nice setup ... it's funny, only in skydiving can a guy say he owns a sewing machine and it's not considered gay. By the way, a certain mutual friend of ours has lent me a dark side rig to practice packing with and while it's been great to practice with, I wouldn't consider jumping it with a ten foot poll (at least not jump the container with the velcro in it's current state and I do consider the canopy too small for me as well). So I can only image what some of your old gear is like as well. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
CanuckInUSA 0 #24 February 12, 2004 You've got a hell of a setup as well and once I sell my current container, reserve and original Cypres, my setup won't be as impressive. But I'll need the $$$ to pay for some of my new toys and I can't forget to save some money for jumps.
