jaaska 0 #1 February 10, 2004 Twohundred sixteenthousand dollars! The new speeding ticket record! A Finnish business man received that ticket last week. Just heard in the radio this morning. Once I get links etc., I'll post them. Some background: The Finnish traffic fines are based on true income of a given person (if that person speeds 20 km/h over the limit). The officers will automatically check any given persons true (net) income via mobile phone and the phone will automatically calculate the fine (income vs. the speed). Officers cannot change this figure themselves. For sure, this guy is going to appeal to court. The figure will most likely change, but I'll bet that guy ends up paying quite a bit...
