kansasskydiver 0 #1 February 14, 2004 Our spring break is coming up end of March, starting on the 20th and then thru the 28th. The club has some money left over from the school and we're gonig to take a club trip using a school van. So the question is, where is a good place to go that's open each day. We've been to Florida and Eloy. What are the ups and downs to your dz if you're open every day. We want to have some fun, jump our asses off and TURBINS!!! I need some help as we're about a month out now<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!
skymama 37 #2 February 14, 2004 Of course I'm going to vote for you starting out and hitting the Sebastian boogie that Bendywendy is putting together on the weekend of the 20-21. Even though you've been to FL, have you been to all the major dz's? With the van, you could go to a different dz every day AND the tunnel! McDuck 0 #3 February 14, 2004 Ooh...Andrea's suggestion has me thinking I might want to tag along. That sounds like a BLAST! DO it HER way. She is the Mama. kansasskydiver 0 #4 February 14, 2004 very very true... that would be fun, I wouldn't mind the drive, but not sure others will want to make the 24hour drive to Florida. they're not quite as gungho as i am I guess<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! McDuck 0 #5 February 14, 2004 How many people are you taking again? If you had enough to fill the super otter each day, I'm sure our DZ would welcome you with open arms each day. If you feel like coming ALMOST to Florida...like NC? kansasskydiver 0 #6 February 14, 2004 find out what the min number is to fly the otter. problem is though, i'll make 50 jumps, others may only want to make 15 and also may not pack as quick... so we need to go somewhere where we wouldn't be the loads. i still like the florida idea, i wanna do a tunnel camp i'll bring up the florida issue and see if we can hit an bunch of dz's. i was there for collegiates 2 years ago and we did lake wales, sebastian and tittusville. then i jumped sebastian last year when i was in florida with myownway before she started jumping i'd like to hit deland and zhills and the tunnel, also skydive america would be cool<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! skymama 37 #7 February 14, 2004 If you head down to FL, think of logistics. It would probably be more enjoyable for you all if you started at the Sebastian Boogie, went south to Sobe next, and then worked your way back up the state next hitting Z-hills, Lake Wales, the tunnel, Space Center and finally Deland. You'll be a couple hours closer to home that way for the long drive back. For those people who might not want to jump as much as you, remind them that there are many other things for tourists to do here if they want a break from jumping. For example, if some don't want to jump in Z-hills, Sebastian, Deland or Space Center, they can head to the beach while others jump. In Central Florida, they could hit the theme parks or big Outlet Malls. There are also some really cool natural springs with inner tube runs. There's plenty to do here. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
