Well, after a few weeks more then expected, my canopy got shipped today. Still less time then I've heard some folks had for getting canopies from manufactures around the industry, 8 weeks. Not bad, the only reason why that happened is that I ordered a bit before Xmas and since it got built in Spain for some reason, it got hit by the HUGE holiday that Europeans apparently take for Xmas.

Oh well, atleast this coming week I'll have a shiney new Crossfire2 149 all of my own. Pictures will ensue.

Custom colors man, gotta go custom. Esp since the only stock 149 they is uglier then a FFer trying to do RW.

Oh, I know. I had a 149 demo for 3 weeks a couple months ago. I jumped the piss out of it, I was just starting to really get the canopy dialed in when I had to send it back. After the 1st jump on it, I knew I had to own one!

Nice color scheme. My is very similar (neon green instead of yellow?), except that I didn't think to get that end cell colored in black. Yours is going to be choice alright.

Yeah, I wanted green and black (my colors) but I want much less black then my last canopy. Mainly incase I had a sunset cutaway, my old canopy would probably have been lost forever if that happened. Too much black, not much green.


edit: I'm not sure how that's showing up on your monitor, but its neon green and black, as confirmed by Icarus.

You probably already know this, but it's actually kind of hard to see the black coloring on the inside of the canopy from most angles (hence the reason why having that end cell black being a good option).

I didn't know that, but had guessed at it. It'll probably only show up on certain sunset loads where the sun hits the canopy *just* right.

I thought about getting a white canopy and doing the colored ribs thing, but I'm just holding off on that design until I get a Xbraced.

Sweet. Same colors? No, I'm guessing blue and yellow were your canopy colors.

I'm freak'n pumped.

Just a few more days and I'm "happy happy, swoopy swoooooopy" on a noice 1.9:1 149 XF2. Finally, something with a longer recovery arc that dives harder, flies faster and can cut this constant Texas winter winds (average 10mph winds) for a better then 150ft swoop.

I've been getting very tired of hooking the piss out of the Stiletto I've been borrowning (170, 1.7:1) and only getting 150ft due to the constant wind we've had over the past month, so it will be very nice to have a more modern design that cuts through the wind much better.

And if/when you're ready for some real excitement, bring that new canopy of yours up to CO in the summer and experience our high density altitude (we also often have no wind conditions as well). Of course only when you're ready as things do go faster here (which is good and not so good at times).

I don't see why not, although you might see a lot of competitors borrowing/"demoing" larger mains then usual.

My ribs will be all black... ah well, I have 2 black cells on top and bottom too, but they are symetrical so I am going against what all the people do. That's Ok! ) and white cells where the black are, but after a few more muddy landings, I decided to use as little white as possible on this sucker.

Being patient is so hard!! I was never good at it as a kid, and I'm even worse as an adult...
