PhreeZone 20 #3 February 15, 2004 A few years ago we were told that we could bring in nerf dart guns to shoot out our frustration at coworkers... that was shortly revoked after an arms war was started between departments. Currently we all go out to the go cart track and race every few months. Personally I think it sucks for team building but its paid for so I go.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
AggieDave 6 #4 February 15, 2004 Quotethat was shortly revoked after an arms war was started between departments That's the funniest thing I've heard all night! People setting up webcams as "strategic satelites", the fear of a nerf winter after "the big one." The Wolverines conducting raids on the enemy's supply chain, screwing up all their memos with their lightening fast nerfings.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." PhreeZone 20 #5 February 15, 2004 It started out with the little single arrow guns you could buy for like 1.99. Soon people were spending $20-30 to get the multishot guns. Did you know there is a gun that is semiautomatic and uses compressed air similar to a supersoaker? Neither did the PC support manager (my old boss) before he was opened up on after pissing off one of the supervisers. All I heard was pop-pop-pop-pop-pop followed up by "What the F$%@!" Shortly after a permanent cease fire was enacted with all partied being forced to surreneder their weapons.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Gawain 0 #6 February 15, 2004 That reminds me of a former client, except instead of "nerf" guns, they used water guns...no sh*t. They were one of the dot.com-ers of the late 90s (now defunct). Every Friday afternoon was "war-time". No rules, inside or outside. They'd have to replace/refurb/repair dozens of components per week. Surprisingly, that little "benefit" lasted a shade over 6 months...nuts...So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! ltdiver 3 #8 February 15, 2004 I have the coolest job. Whenever someone has a 'celebration' to enjoy, we all gather outside of work to play! Most of the time it's at the local restaurant bar. Next one coming up is on Feb. 27. A boss is leaving! (and he's leading the party...) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Raefordite 0 #11 February 15, 2004 QuoteDoes your work place do things to build team spirit and foster stress relief? Yep. They remind the staff that they get to go through the doors, gates, fences and barbed wire to go home at the end of the work day. Our "customers" get to stay. Any stress on the outside can't be as bad as being left behind on the inside.
ACMESkydiver 0 #12 February 15, 2004 At a previous high-stres, high-commission sales job, we'd get about 8 nerf soccer balls, clear out the front part of our office, tape of a couple of lines on the floor, and 16 of us would play dodgeball for 1/2 hour before call time. I loved dodgeball! Too bad I really sucked at it! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
