mr2mk1g 10 #101 February 13, 2004 yeah - BH range is def "hard shell" - thats one of the reasons why I agree its a really odd rule and not suprising the real meaning is totally ignored. But I can't really argue with the fact that a pro-tec gives better protection. Its even more perplexing that the rule is simply interpreted it as "full face" when that is absolutly not the true wording.
Red_Skydiver 0 #102 February 13, 2004 *** The actual wording in the BPA operations manual is: Student and Intermediate Parachutists must wear a suitably sturdy open faced, hard protective helmet without a peak. AND FAI ‘B’ Certificate (Red) holders may wear hard protective helmets acceptable to the CCI/Team Leader. Zeemax 0 #108 February 13, 2004 I'm sorry, but no matter how i read it, i cant see any possible way that what he said could be intended as a joke. To me it seems like 'not my country' mentally i've experienced with several americans in the past. Sadly they know nothing past the edges of their country and have no desire to. They swallow goverment propoganda and beleive everything they hear. juanesky 0 #112 February 13, 2004 I concede it was of bad taste, but I do get the same feeling from the old continent, superiority complex issues as well, and plain hatred for Americans, not from recent, but from quite a while now. Lived in England for 3 years, and the only place on earth where i was subject to racial discrimination, by my school peers.....and pretty much everywhere I went. Not many fonds memories there. Never happened again anywhere else where I've been. (7 more countries in 2 more continents) Not one country is ever going to be perfect, and there is good people and bad people everywhere we go. It is just that most of you immediately assume these uncultured americans type of attitude, that is inappropiate. On the other hand, I think many lessons you have learned, and the best proof of that is the intention of unification you all have over there. As far as this post goes, there are both crazy people who have death wishes everywhere, though there is a fair chance the numbers will brake even on both sides US-Europe. Just don't play the game "we are all saints and culturaly superiors in here""According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

velo90 0 #123 February 13, 2004 Quotebut the licensing requirements were actually prety similar Well in that case the yanks can only blame themselves for the high homocide rate.
