kansasskydiver 0 #3 February 17, 2004 depends. I know for a fact we couldn't keep an otter running nor do we have the facilities either. Not sure if we have a wide enough runway to turn a king air around on... so porter or caravan were our thoughts. last year we couldn't find fuel, this year we have fuel, just need a plane now. I know Aireexpress has a caravan but i can't find their webpage and i can't remember which parachutist their ad was in<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist! PhreeZone 20 #4 February 17, 2004 A King Air's turn radius is the same as a Caravan's. I know of lots of King Air's and a Westwind also that can probalyl be leased. Then there is always Otters from CSS. http://www.aire-express.com/Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Unstable 9 #7 February 17, 2004 There was a King Air at our DZ in 1994 - it was a 200-series with the T-tail. I came across a photograph of it out there..... May not have been flying jumpers, but it certainly was out there...=========Shaun ==========

kansasskydiver 0 #9 February 17, 2004 yeah i knew about the kingair, but the airport board isn't too keen on having a kingair out there either for some reason. You know how shakey things are with them the way it is, so I'd actually much rather bring in a porter or a caravan... Plus, Mullins is probably going to be in Kingman around the same time Chris<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!

AggieDave 6 #12 February 17, 2004 What about SD Dallas? They've got a Caravan, and since they have 3 Otters (well, most of 3 otters put together) they probably won't use it much.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Gawain your right on the money, the caravan I jumped out of this weekend still smells new. I been watching this guy for alittle over a year and he's a class act when it comes to maintaining his planes. blue skies jerry
ZoneRat 0 #14 February 17, 2004 Hell yeah man! Grab SDD's caravan! (903) 364-5103 skydive dallas@aol.com Ask for either Joe Reckert (DZO) or, better yet Mike Vinther (Head Pilot). I love it when the caravan is away. Means we fly the Otter regardless of load size. (Or, for that matter, I wonder if a few of us could travel with it and attend your boogie... maybe bring a packer if you need one, or an experienced L.O., camera folk... I could possibly arrange whatever compliment, if any, you think might be useful to the boogie. I dunno. Just thinkin out loud.)“There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophies.”
