PhillyKev 0 #1 February 13, 2004 So the crazy bitch I broke up with about a month ago fucked me over. She's been calling me, harassing me, asking me to take her back, etc.... Today I was served with a temporary protection from abuse order....she claimed I came after her with a gun. I haven't even seen her since mid January. Part of the order was to turn any and all firearms in my posession over to the sherrif. I haven't even been charged with a crime, or had a hearing. The hearing is Tuesday to make it a permanent order, which would probably last for a year. So, right now, I've been disarmed by the state because of the hearsay of a psycho, and may lose the right to own a gun for the next year. Fortunately, I have about a dozen answering machine messages saved of her screaming, calling me names, and threatening to make my life hell. This is fucked up!!!! And if you stop being such a nice guy it could end it completely. (Turn her in EVERY time she calls, shows up, etc!) So much for trying to end things nicely! Oh, SOP of a PFA is to remove any firearms so don't take that part personally. (Not meaning that you can't be pissed as hell!) Oh yeah...they'll also give her a choice to make that 18 months instead of a year too. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. If I were in your boots I would be talking to a lawyer right about now. Having a PFA filed on you doesn't look good for your personal records. Sorry to hear about this. Maybe we'll get some warmer weather around here so you can get in the air and forget about it a while? It may suprise you but I don't think very many men claim abuse by the opposite sex in the first place (not because it doesn't happen) but those who do are not given very much attention. Such allegations should be taken seriously regardless of who is making them, but due process is a fundamental part of our legal system. Never go to a DZ strip show. She came over to "talk" and wouldn't leave when she started screaming at me. Like I said, I have an answering machine message where she says, "I hope you die in your sleep. PhillyKev 0 #20 February 13, 2004 One refreshing thing about the whole situation is, while I was riding around with this cop tonight who had to take me to his precinct, than to the central detectives office, then to the property clerk and then home (a couple hours out of my life), he was saying how he thought it was bullshit that they were violating my 2nd amendment rights and how much he like my glock and the Agrip on it. The other interesting thing was that no one knew what they were supposed to do about me turning it in. Apparently no one ever does when they get these orders since there's no registration or licensing in PA for posession, they really don't have any way to know if you really have a gun or how many.
