countryscrub 0 #1 February 14, 2004 just a bad fall going for a 360 mute grab with a little too much speed coming to the kicker...im sorry snowboarding ... i landed the jump out of control hooked and edge of the board while i was unstable rideing out the landing ...then wam ..i woke up few minutes later.. tried to sit up couldnt shake it off ..passed out two more times ..finally got up rode the rest of the way down.. got to the bottom passed out a couple more times trying to walk to the bar .. finally got a beer or two in me ...pain wasnt going away .. so we drove home in a f150 4x4 three hours drive ...and i fianally bit the bullet and when to the hospital that night ...found out the midnight on the 25th that i had indeed broke my back...and got my first shot of morphene ...just in time for my birthday ..lol some present huh... part two lol i did leave one thing out ..... my landlord had some work done in my condo while i was gone .. after i got out of the hospital i came home to find the moldy floor in the laundry room was gone and replaced with new boards sound proofing and tile.. but i was missing something else my cat ... so thinkin he must have let her out in the hall i went out to look ...bang ...i'm like shit ...the door just closed behind me patting my pockets i relaize my keys are inside ...so im praying as i reach for the door handle please be unlocked .... it wasn't ... so here i am locked out of my condo in this brace like a cripple and can't move for shit ...oh and im bare footed at this time .... ice and snow out side the commons so luckly i got my cell on me ....i reach down into my pocket grab it to call a buddy that can climb up my balcany and open my sliding door so i can get in ...i dial and just as it say connecting ..it cuts off... dead...im about defeated right about now and i here a vacoume down the hall so i go see who it is to get some help... its our older than old cleaning lady doing the halls ...so i ask her if she has got a cell phone ... she asks what for i tell her... she says to me no problem asks which place and starts walking that way .,..naturally i follow her she gets to my door and pulls out a blockbuster card out of her jeans pocket and before it registers she has my door open.... ten seconds flat ...i was like ...thats kinda scary but i was thankful and desided not to think about that part for now ... so finally im back in and calling for my cats and i here her only she real muffled .. so im in my brace crawling on the ground calling for her room to room ... the sound was following me but not getting any louder... then it hit me i was like shit ... so i called my father and told him to tell his boss he has to leave work.. he was like why.. and i told him... but he didnt believe me so after ten minute of telling him no shit im not kidding dad get here now. so he shows up a half hour later and moves the washer out and dryer by himself ...becouse naturally im useless at this point then pull up all the new tiles ..the sound board ...the subfloor...and last the new floor board that was screwed into the studs ..we pull up the board and out pops my cat dirty as all get out ...lol now hows that for a FINISH TO MY BROKEN BACK STORY _________________________________________ i used to do alot of things ....skydiving wont be one of them :) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
