peckerhead 0 #1 February 18, 2004 OK, I know this has probably been covered before but I am flying cross country Portland to DC with a layover in Phoenix, America west airlines. I will have one rig with a cypress to be installed before I leave. Carry-on or check-in? I have done both in past years with no problem but that was pre-911. I would prefer carry-on but I have heard about over-anxious screeners wanting to open the container for inspection..... There goes a fresh re-pack. Any suggestions or stories from recent travelers? Thanks! .

Jimbo 0 #4 February 18, 2004 Carry on. Bring the TSA documentation and documentation from America West stating that it's OK to bring your gear abour the airplane. Think of what might happen if an over anxious screener in the checked baggage area gets ahold of your rig. I've never had a problem carrying on a rig that a smile, and a few moments of polite conversation couldn't cure. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
