i reasently tryed to come out of the closet and admit that i was a metrosexuial ... but when i opened up the door and tryed to take a step out i heard this heavenly voice say"what in the heck do you think your doing boy ...your too ugly" and he shoved me back in the closet and shut the door.

So what makes a metrosexual man? He's been defined as a straight, sensitive, well-educated, urban dweller who is in touch with his feminine side. He may have a standing appointment for a weekly manicure, and he probably has his hair cared for by a stylist rather than a barber. He loves to shop, he may wear jewelry, and his bathroom counter is most likely filled with male-targeted grooming products, including moisturizers (and perhaps even a little makeup). He may work on his physique at a fitness club (not a gym) and his appearance probably gets him lots of attention -- and he's delighted by every stare.
I know a few skydiver metrosexuals, but I don't know if they'll admit it on the forums.

I'll completely admit that if I had the money to be a "metrosexual" I so would. Come on, metrosexual is basically the same as being "GQ". I dig chicks but if I could afford extravagant things for the sake of looking better/being stylish, hell yeah, you get more chicks that way.

Why do you think kids all have to read those books in high school? That is the impressionable time when they are supposed to learn valuable lessons of proper edicut, interpersonal relations, and how to conduct oneself in all other areas of life. If more people paid attention in high school to what they were being taught, the World would be a far better, more peaceful, loving place, and the divorce rate wouldn't be at near 50% or higher?!
I always bow to my MAN as my Lord, and serve him graciously! I do his bidding, never question why, and absolutely never talk back. Doing this for him and paying him such respect and acknowledgement makes both him happy and me feel good inside as well. And he in turn gives me his loyalty, his honor, and his respect. It's mutually beneficial, symbiotic, and that way we both win!
Sure, it's old fashioned, but as it worked then it still works today.

By the way, whenever I see another skydiver named Kate, who is quite head strong just like Kathrine, I think of her in that role and laugh to myself, imagining her in the role of Kathrine being tamed as transpired in the book. I have my own private joke going which makes me giggle inside by always addressing her as "Miss Kate". While she reminds me much of the shrew, Kathrine, before she is tamed by her prospective mate, she would never in a gazillion years ever be forced to yield to a man. She would never allow any man to ever dare try to tame her, but believe it or not, I'm sure if she ever wanted a man and respected him enough, it would happen!
Just think about it ladies,... do you think being a self centered shrew is good for a relationship? When a woman falls in love with a man for real, and honestly respects the fellow, she will yield and give of herself as if she were tamed. It happens to the best of us, even Miss Kate!
So yielding and conceding is not a concession of weakness by any means, but rather just an acknowledgement of respect for your mate. Any woman who would not yield to her Man/Lord in that way is too self -centered, selfish, and ego centric, full of herself if you will, to begin with, and will probably never change.
So men, be wary and warned... stay away from women like that, for they will only bring you grief, hardship, and heartache in the end. If a woman serves her Man and treats him like her Lord, he in turn will treat her like a Lady, and a mutual respect and symbiotic serving of each by the other will be established and maintained. This will ensure a harmonious, mutually beneficial union, not one imbalanced wherein the selfishness of one of the parties, usually the woman, since women are more used to getting things their way, will overwhelm the relationship, and eventually drive the divide as the "giver" slowly begins to build resentment for the persistant "taker" over time.

But in the end, she and her Man/Lord had the strongest, most loving, mutually respectful, secure bond of all the couples in the room, whose own relationships were not as solid. My wife may like whn I come home musky, but she also likes the way I smell after a shower. In fact my daughters always snuggle up to me and say "Daddy you smell nice."
I like to open doors and pull out chairs and I stand when a woman leaves my table. There are times when I wear a suit and there are times when I wear jeans, but I always care about how I look. Yet I still do not wear cologne (unless it is on a date with my wife).
I think some of the things that I am reading as attributed to metrosexuals are actually just things attributed to GENTLEMEN. And you can be a gentlemen without all the frilly creams and hair gels and other foofoo juices.
I think somewhere along the line of this thread the two different characteristics are getting muddled in one metrosexual male.

I didn't learn sh*t from cheesy high school literature that I read long before high school, because my mother taught me to read, learn, and absorb all knowledge. And yet another of my more serious comments defending the pilot who was killed in the King Air chrash in Hawaii in '99, who also happened to be my fiancee, was deleted altogether! I am new to this game. Seems like you have to tread carefully, or the thought police will get you! Sure is addictive though! Wish some people wouldn't get so hostile and super critical. This is all just supposed to be for fun isn't it?
