osuskydiver 0 #1 February 19, 2004 Buckle Up Couldn't tell if this was real or not because after the guy was hit he was still trying to recover his car with 1 hand. Looks real though By the time you read this you have already read it.
AggieDave 6 #2 February 19, 2004 Damn. Suck it up that guy! Sort of makes you want to put a 5-point harness in your car, huh?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
ACMESkydiver 0 #3 February 19, 2004 OMG...well it sure looked real... I don't move in a car or plane without my seatbelt on. I sure hope he's Ok...looks like a broken hand at least, and will be some serious facial injuries...but I hope he's alright. Question though...why would just an everyday Joe have a camera mounted to look AT him in his car?? Just wondering.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. ifics 0 #4 February 19, 2004 I saw that awhile back, it has to be real. Watch his face when he nails the left side of the car, I don't know of a dummy that can make that face. EDIT: http://www.drivecam.com/about-drivecam.html Thats the website, I guess they install those units in a bunch of cars or something, I didn't feel like reading it

Gawain 0 #11 February 19, 2004 Yeah, it's real. It's hard to tell, but the guy is a cab driver or something. The car he's driving is a Ford Crown Victoria. The drivecam web-site has some other videos on it. My favorite is the lady driving the rental-car-shuttle, the steering goes and you hear from her the longest, loudest, increasing pitch "shhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiitttt" So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! ifics 0 #12 February 19, 2004 LOL, on that same video from the rear view is sorta funny but sucks. That guy gets thrown on the ground gets right back up and sits down in his seat again, then says, "please let me out, please let me out". He was in shock for sure, but it was weird how he sat right back down..

ifics 0 #14 February 19, 2004 http://www.drivecam.com/about-drivecam.html Go to media center, then click on the right side of screen under "unsafe driving" and then on the 2nd set of videos is the "steering wheel goes out and bus goes over railing" or something like that... base283 0 #16 February 19, 2004 I think you people are missing the point made by the video. Do you really think it´s ok to sleepdrive as long as you wear a seatbelt? I somehow got another point. I have a friend who was driving late at night and was getting sleepy, so he pulled into a rest stop, killed the lights and engine and fell immediately to sleep. Then he started dreaming that he fell asleep while driving. He awoke and started stomping on the brakes and thinking this was the end because his brakes weren´t working and his headlights were out. It took him a few moments to figure out what was going on much to the amusement of the other people in the rest area ;-). Needless to say, he wasn´t sleepy any more!!!! take care, space
