mailin 0 #1 February 19, 2004 Today is a strange day. I work at RI Hospital which was where 60% of the fire victims were transported after the fire one year ago today. I work with the gentleman who first responded with the fire/rescue folks - he intentionally took today off to avoid the media. I lost 2 coworkers in the fire, and am reminded daily by the fire victims that walk around campus to see doctors etc. There will be moments of silence at various moments during the day today - 100 minutes total, for 100 people killed. Thankfully all area clubs are up to code now - but it doens't help the families that are grieving. I hope you've taken a moment to read through all of this - its long enough for that moment of silence in rememberance. Thank you, JenniferArianna Frances
wzettler 0 #2 February 19, 2004 It was definitely an awful thing. At my office we had to review the entire video (they only showed parts on TV) and it was tough to watch. I feel bad for all that the families have had to go through. I am glad that the clubs are up to date now... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them. jessd 0 #5 February 20, 2004 Jennifer - thank you for writing this. A good friend of mine was in the fire, but, thankfully got out. He was burned pretty badly, but he's doing well now.
