SkydiveNFlorida 0 #1 February 21, 2004 In your profile, you name disciplines. A newbie named wingsuit flying as a discipline, because it is what she wants to do. What do you think about filling in this area? Do it only once your involved in a particular discipline? Or, fill it in if that is what you aspire to be involved in? Your thoughts? Angela. Antithesis 0 #2 February 21, 2004 I think that it would be cool if there was a disciplines and an interests section.. Because I see a lot of newbies putting their interests in the disciplines section I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #8 February 21, 2004 QuoteIn your profile, you name disciplines. A newbie named wingsuit flying as a discipline, because it is what she wants to do. Hey girlie, when I first began posting, which was about 2-3 months before you, I found that the profile edit features did NOT allow us to leave the discipline area blank. I just checked this very moment and now I CAN leave it blank. I have "Formation Skydiving and "Wingsuit Flying" in the "discipline" area. I have the same question, since I can now change this edit feature, should I change it or leave "wingsuit" flying in there? It has only helped me so far when people see that I have interest in becoming a Ladybird. They have been in contact with me about getting started and have shown interest in flocking with me, someday. It will not happen at all until the end of this year or maybe even next year, though. What should I do?
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #9 February 21, 2004 Yeah. I have Freeflying & Freeflying in there. I am actually more interested in swooping, but I dare not put swooping in my profile under disciplines else i'll hear a bunch of shit! lol! I'm also interested in freestyle, but I can't do any freestyle moves, so I didn't feel I could put it in my profile. But, when I think about it. What would newbies put in their profiles? Coached 2-way RW? So, it would seem reasonable to put what you are interested in, even if you aren't there yet. Plus, if putting that in your profile has gathered some fellow birds to fly with once your ready, that's pretty cool! Angela.

bch7773 0 #15 February 21, 2004 i think its just one of those gray areas... like the newbies that post pictures of things they Want to do as their avatar. like someone with 1 jump posting a headdown picture or something. i really don't care what they put in there. sdgregory 0 #17 February 21, 2004 Well as a newbie, I have Freeflying and RW as my disciplines. This is because I have done a couple as in exactly 2, of each kind of jump and liked them both. Secondly, I am aspiring to improve in both. I eventually WANT to do swooping and birdman, but since I have about 467 jumpsto go before I will even be allowed to consider them, well why bother putting them on my profile? So RW and Freefly it is, and hey, I am with that. More than enough fun to be had in those two categories.
