Pammi 0 #33 February 18, 2004 Love to cook, but hate to bake. It's all just so touchy! Like my V-tines dessert...a brownie on the bottom, white chocolate mousse on that, then carmalized bananas on top of that (chocolate sauce on the side). It was yummy! Looked like crap tho. The mousse was somewhat runny when I took the 'spring form' pan thingy off the side (didn't even know what those were) so I had to hurry and put it back on. Ah well. I'd much rather find a complicated dinner to make! I'm actually good at that! Pammi
PhillyKev 0 #34 February 18, 2004 My long standing line has been, "I'll marry the girl that can make me a good boston creme pie." Three have tried....I'm still single. The custard is either gritty or too runny and then soaks into the cake and makes it fall apart.
ChasingBlueSky 0 #35 February 19, 2004 I talk to people all day long about Culinary and Baking - most love one and hate the other....and tend to feel very strong about that opinion. Most people tend to want to cook over baking, but 4/5 people I talked to today wanted to bake! BTW - 5 straight hours of conducting interviews while sick makes me want to take a nap at work. Boss looks at me and says "you look like shit, take the next two days off."_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... jfields 0 #39 February 19, 2004 That would probably depend on the type of food.
