Michele 1 #1 February 24, 2004 I am really curious as to the issues which are really important to you - not you as a particular party member, although I do ask that, but YOU as a human being, a person in the US. I know I've missed some important issues, and I apologize ahead of time. I also know that at least one (and IMHO more like 4) of the options is terribly broad. Again, I apologize. Feel free to add your opinion below as to why those issues are important, if you'd like. I have said it before, and I'll say it here, I think this country is in the middle of a quite tumultuous time, and the next 4 years will be very, very important...I'd like to see where others stand. peacefuljeffrey 0 #3 February 24, 2004 You didn't list Gun Ownership Rights. That's what I vote about. Once those are secure, I'll go on to secondary issues.-Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
Muenkel 0 #4 February 24, 2004 Michele, You asked a serious question, so I will give a serious answer. First of all, I will never give my vote to a pro-choice candidate. It's never going to happen. It is 100% against my religious beliefs, and I answer to a higher calling. I feel the economy is essential. Right now it is holding its own and there are some indicators of improvement. I'd like to see more though. The most pressing issue to me right now is the threat of terrorism. I believe this is a very serious and impending threat to our national security. Terrorism has already proved it can cause terrible damage to our economy. My vote will go to the man who fits this criteria. And right now IMO, only GWB fits it. I believe in our system of checks and balences but unfortunatly it does not work as well when we have one party controling Washington..... five years ago it was dem, now it is rep.... just makes me nervous..... I love my country.... peacefuljeffrey 0 #8 February 24, 2004 OMG is it gonna be funny watching the Dems rip each other apart for another four years when Nader splits the vote again and GW takes oath once more... It'll be like that old Tom and Jerry cartoon where the two cats squabble over a female cat and then she ends up hooking up with Jerry! (or something like that. My memory of it is hazy. I still remember the one where the Devil was gonna take Tom unless he could get Jerry to sign a forgiveness waiver! Classic! Uh oh, did I lose my train of thought?) -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
