200?! Come on! It's just a Challenger on steroids! We used to take the 604 down to about 140 with approach flaps....you get skeered that slow? ;) Unfortunately, the boat I'm flying now doesn't like going slow....we're always being told to "slow to final approach speed" when we're there.. 130 at min landing weight, as high as 150.

Yah, about the same for us...realisticly we don't have a Ref+5 less than 145. We don't have any leading edge devices so we sure as hell don't wanna approach a stall. We keep it a bit fast artificially for sure. Very nose down approach which freaks out the unfamiliar pilots riding in the jump seat.

Too many times I've seen guys turn the wrong way because "the flight director said to"...or in severe crosswinds(like we had going into ORD last week - 60 knot crosswind at 5k, 40 at 3k, 30 at 1k) the thing doesn't have a clue, but too many guys just fly the S-turns it commands anyways.

Yep, seen it too. [:/]

Hey I thought you guys were broke, and now you're buyin' paint jobs? What's next? Chrome exahust tips? Wire rims? Tinted windows? I see you already have a "spoiler".

Hey who's the ground crew with the nice bod in picture 2?

Hey now, the Jungle Jet isn't to bad of a plane. The APU is a piece of crap, (Hamilton Sundstrand), and the fuel system on the new XR models are giving us some problems. Thats my biggest complaints with it. I have a whole list of things I would change on them though. I do prefer the cabin layout on the CRJ better than I do the EMB135/145.

The first thing that sprang to mind when I saw those piccies was the scene where Tom Hanks is being thrown around arse over tit in the cargo hold for the film CastAway. I have no idea why. :S

LOL!! You found out! Skydive Chicago has bought a United Express carrier and I now work for them again! LOL!!!! Does this mean I get a beer handed to me as the engines spool down at the end of the day by some hot video chick?

Hey I thought you guys were broke

Actually, the express carrier who I work for is not broke. United has set it up so that these smaller Express companies are basicly financing their recovery. That's the corporate world. So, we are taking deliveries of new 50 seat jets and they gotta get painted with sumpin. We were the launch carrier in the Express department for the new paint job. That's pretty cool. I heard mainline United would have about 70 planes painted with the new paintjob by the end of the year. I've seen their B-777 around O'Hare a lot. Paint jobs have to be redone every so often and the 777 was the first to need it I was told. There is also a B-737 I've seen with the new "do". I imagine that is one of the old United "Shuttle" planes. You might remember "Shuttle". It's that failed attempt to take on a low fare carrier (southwest) with an "Airline within an airline" scheme. Kinda like "Ted" is now. Seems we have failed to learn from our past.
