EMS Job Interview

Recommended Posts

Finally got an interview with a local Ambulance company. Anyone in EMS have any suggestions on what to study as far as EMT-1 ? Im sure they will have some nifty little test for me being as I didnt do my training through them. This is a whole new deal for me, just got my EMT-1 Cert. (Kern County,Ca.) a month ago.
And if your into the vibe thing, come on with it;)

Dunno anything about how to study for the test. But mind your grammar and your manners when you're interviewing, and knock 'em dead.

Lotsa vibes, Ed.

Ed,
I sure wish I could remember 20+ years back when I interviewed for my first EMT job as to what they asked. But I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Wow, you have come so far. Give yourself a big pat on the back for all your hard work. When we finally get to meet, I'll be buying you the beer.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I don't know anything about the test, but I can say a prayer and send you some serious vibes.

Have you taken the NR-EMT Basic test yet? They may require that. It's not very hard if you've done the training to get your cert already...

Actually no. Just the EMT-1 Ca. Cert. test, did ok on it too. I will look into that today with some instructors at school today.

Okay, good. Now I can blow out those candles I had going. It looked like I was trying to start a fire with all that.

Keep us posted. Wow, a man in uniform ;)

Michele, I'm feeling faint, do you think Ed can practice some mouth to mouth on us;)

Seeing as it appears he has a crush on you, I do believe I'll step back and give you both some air....and privacy. ;)

Geez, if you like a EMT uniform, how do ya feel about a Paramedic/Firefighter.

Ed, I am sure you did fine, EMT's are always needed it seems. I would really suggest going and getting you National cirt. It open many doors as far as other agencies and even other states. I hope you got it. Now when you test for you first fire deptarment.......its a whole different kind of butterfly in your stomach.

:D Funny you should mention that. My office is in the same building where the training for the firefighting school is at on the college. Classes have started. I'm making sure my office door stays open cause some of those poor guys get lost the first few days;) I do have my camera here, but I don't want to look like a stalker the first few days.

Edited cause I can't type, the guys are heading out the door for their lunch:)
