skybytch 273 #1 February 26, 2004 Ah, the wonders of modern plastics. Zip ties have to be the coolest thing anyone ever came up with. So handy to have around! They can be used to replace baling wire, string, rope, handcuffs and glue. You can use them to hold wiring in place, clean up that "spaghetti" wire mess behind your stereo, restrain your next victim, and perform minor temporary repairs to certain broken items. And they come in so many lengths, widths and fashionable colors! You can mix or match. An unbeatably fantastic and useful accessory, zip ties are. Get some today. I felt it was important to educate them. Zip tie tip - Don't use the really thin ones as handcuffs. And keep a pair of scissors handy in case of fire. PhreeZone 20 #9 February 26, 2004 Zip ties are the only other thing then duct tape that holds most out planes together so I do realize just how important they are. And I personally think that using the 1 inch wide ones are the best since they tend not to cut into the skin that much. Also leave enough room for the ziptie to rotate freely on the skin or else it will chaff. Any other tips?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
