MissMissy 0 #1 February 29, 2004 As many of you know, my freestyle team was vying for a slot on the US World Meet Artistic Team for 2004. The USPA Board met last week and voted NOT to let us participate. --That's the Bad News. HOWEVER (here comes the good news), the Board is going to review these rules and hopefully modify them so in this case and in Shannon Pilcher's case (trying to go to the 2003 Canopy Piloting World Cup) will not arise again. Instead, the rules will help out our cases and it will be more supportive to the skydiving athletes. I also want to take this time to thank all those that helped out signing my petition. It truly means SO much to me!! THANK YOU!!!I will be training hard for Nationals to regain my title and get my butt to that darn World Meet!! wendybird 0 #3 February 29, 2004 Heya Missy -- That's disappointing and encouraging all at the same time. I'm sorry it didn't work out this time, but hopefully you'll be able to make enough noise to make the change. Need another petition? See you out there soon!Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u

bbarnhouse 0 #5 February 29, 2004 With the judging changes envoked by the IPC...we're gonna need more judges from the U.S. once the USPA follows suit and changes ours. I'm thinking about hanging up the tights and enlisting as many folks as I can so that our athletes have representation on all fronts. See ya soon missmissy. (hope your snowboarding trip was a blast)
koz2000 1 #6 February 29, 2004 Did they give a reason why they came to that decision?? When are elections again? Oh well glad some good came out of it D______________________________________________ - Does this small canopy make my balls look big? - J. diverdriver 7 #7 March 1, 2004 QuoteDid they give a reason why they came to that decision?? When are elections again? Oh well glad some good came out of it D Because the rules stated the decision be made that way? Just a thought. And what does elections have to do with it? They followed the rules as written. But I'm glad to see they will take up the issue so they do have the power to fill out the roster in future years. Change does not come without cost. Think long term here. Don't be short sighted.
