But it isn't like a titty bar, in that you go there with money to spend. If you gamble it away(like I do) It should be money that is meant to blow. It is the price of admission. That is Las Vegas. Exactly! I actually went inside the dz posing as a "non-jumper" and that's how I saw all of this first hand. As a matter of fact, I got a lot of this info directly from the DZO's mouth and the remainder from his employees. I did note that in the original post... Out of the three employees I spoke with (all tandem guys), when asked if the equipment, procedures, safety was standard acrossed the board in the skydiving world...They replied, and I quote, "You'll have to talk to the boss man about that"... Unfortunately, my friends were already airborne at this point! Okay, so I'm finished with my bitching... I really appreciate all the support... I look forward to seeing what kind of response we can get from these letters and such...

For PhillyKev's sake...this info is first-hand...

I called that DZ when I was in Las Vegas, and the guy was a complete . I wouldn't go for a tandem, a fun jump, or anything. Way to run a business; the guy needs some people skills period.

DZ bashing? Reap what you sow...honestly I think every business and product is 'buyer beware'...so I personally appreciate word of mouth before investing my time, $$, and in the sport of skydiving, potentially my life.

Just my thoughts, I'll be quiet now.

I've read this whole thread, and you know, this is really pathetic. When/if I ever go to Las Vegas, I'll be going to Jean to jump, certainly not to SDLV! Thank you for the warning.

You cant even go to Jean now as they closed up.
If you really want to funjump in the Vegas area come to Mesquite Nevada.....its North on I-15.
A great bunch of folks and a pretty good mix of freeflyers and RW people.
