freeflir29 0 #1 February 29, 2004 So it was a pretty good Mardi Gras boogie in spite of the weather. I got there Sunday afternoon but JUST missed the sunset load. Monday it rained Southern style and I considered building an Ark. Instead....Skymonkeyone, Kreg, and I all started drinking like Vikings around 1230 or 1. We ended up at a bowling alley where SM1 upset the management with his stylish bowling form. Apparently, bowling is very serious around that area. We were drinking like vikings..... Tuesday.......it was raining again so there was more drinking like Vikings. Hmmm.....Wednesday......more rain.....more drinking. Thursday two loads went up but I didn't get on either cause my camera was not having a nice time in the water. Friday dawned.......teased us.....closed back up before we could manifest a load and then finally cleared up by 11 or so. Did 5 jumps on Friday. Got in jumps with the MAJORITY of the DZ.commers. Sadly I saw just what 4 months with no jumps will do to your free fall skills. Put me back about 100-200 jumps. Some things are just reflex now though. Like how I said I was going to make a conservative landing the first time. I sorta did......but that included a 90, 180. I did let up high though. Anyway.......I had loads of fun. Met a bunch of new people to include Dove(Who certainly has THE BEST ASS on DZ.com), Casie(Who is damn cute and gave me beads!!!), Kansasskydiver, Yardhippie, Amazon(Who really is), Kennedy, Superwoman (Who hit me in the nuts), Vanillaskydiver (Who I didn't get to talk to much, sorry. But I did get to meet the owner of those breastessssss), Nightjumper (Who makes DAMN fine Rumrunners), Ducky, BKDice(Hottie), and Katie who I did a nice head down and sit fly dive with this morning. There's a couple others that I can't remember their user names at the moment. Of course there were many other DZ.commers there that I had already met. It was a damn fine time. A big thanks to Kreg for letting me crash in his camper for the week. Feel free to mail me all my camera cables that I left there. I'm missing the HUGE party and Rodriguez initiation that was going on tonight. I got to see MANY old friends there. A ton from Skydive Atlanta. I'll be back next year!!! When you guys get out of your STUPOR early next week tell me party stories. Of course there are many details of MASS NIG NOGGERY that have been kept on the DL.......... IIRC, the 'talking model' only takes a little encouragement, with a quick smack to the ass. Kinda like the guy I married 30 years ago. We had a great time, although all we got to do was to stand in the rain, since Dave wanted to make a quick trip home on Thur. Mike Igo has a wonderful facility, we were very impressed, and pleased. He was quite the gentleman, and is really a great host. Wish the weather had been much better for him so that he could have gotten many loads in the air for all of our friends. streaker 0 #9 February 29, 2004 Nice DZ in Moss Point...will be back! Wow what rainy weather Tuesday-Thursday. Damn it! Enjoyed meeting lot's of new jumpers and seeing quite a few familiar faces. Even through the rain I had a great time. Must have gotten pretty drunk on Wednesday....at least that's what Snowwhite tells me. Short story. the was NO, NONE, NADA, tequila on the DZ.... by the time this was confirmed I made the drive to town... all liquor stores closed, SkymonkeyOne and I conversed and agreed that its just not right w/o tequila... To all those who were to be initiated: Im am truly sorry... but I did work my ass off trying to make it happen... everyone was quite plastered by the time I called off the event. I started drinking about 11:30 that night. I hope we can get you all taken care of real soon.
