I have heard from many of my skydiving friends that they would buy a painting of themselves either freeflying, under canopy, or whatever in their skydivning gear or adventures.... I would like to get a little more input on if my commitment in the task to start painting the pictures I take of all you skydivers, if enough people will be interested in buying them. I have many pictures already that I have taken at the dropzones, and have started a little with sketches... If you have noticed my "clicky" on my avatar you can see kind of a sample of the kind of paintings I do. Would you buy one?... And what kind of price would you pay?... I have sold several other paintings to people, and I used to charge $75.00 for 8x11 paintings matted and framed, and $100.00 to 140.00 for much larger ones (matted and framed) P.S. I'm not selling anything here, I am just trying to get a feeler on if skydivers would show interests in this, and to see what you thought about it. _______________________________________________ My mind is like a parachute...it functions only when open. I am sure there would be tons of interest for individuals as well as special events (esp. at WFFC- Rodriguez Bros. jumps, HellFish shenanagans). We have some of what is shown hanging around the house.. The rest has been sold or left with her ex. A skydiving one has not yet been completed. As soon as one is, we'll photograph it and post it. I will do my best to show the minor detail to the paintings verses the photos but If I got too much into detail, I would be spending too much time on each painting.... For those purposes, you can only post them in the Classifieds. The same rule applies to everyone. What a lot of the jewelery people do is put a clicky link in their sig line. She got acrylics for Christmas and is painting. Well... To make a long story short, I suggested the same to her and she is currently painting me an incredible head down during sunset (not me of course, but cool). I'll post a pic when she is done, would you let me know what kind of feedback you get? I told her it might be something she could get into as well, she enjoys painting, and is the only one of all my kids that is bound and determined to be a skydiver (16 soon)!
