That Ministry's Greatest Hits CD has a cool live version of So What....

Yah, probably take from "In case you didn't feel like showing up". Damn I miss that video. The whole thing rocked. Had Ogre playing with them. Gello Biafra doing spoken word. And Chris Collins (I think) doing "So What". Standing on top of the cage in front of the stage screaming it out.

If you want to see an interesting show...go see Henry Rollins doing a spoken word show. I thought he was going to be playing, but it was him reading poetry...very interesting....that guy's got more opinions than all Talkback posters combined.

I had tickets to see the Circle Jerks with GBH last year, but had to work :(

Yeah, he's been doign that for at least 10 years. I remember seeing him do that while I was in college - probably 1994. That's just about all Rollins does.

If you want to listen to some more interesting stuff, try getting some tapes of Jello Biafra's spoken word shows. That cat was also great!

p.s. - I heard that version of "Boys of Summer." How many of us punks thought, "You poseur." when he sang, "I saw a BLACK FLAG sticker on a Cadillac."

I know. Anyone with legitimacy must make a reference to Black Flag. And anyone who makes a reference to Black Flag is legitimate.

Hogwash. It's like fools wearing CBGB shirts to be cool, because they know CBGB was the Punk capitol!

Fucking poseurs.>:( I hated that version of Boys of Summer. And I hated that they thought they had to change the words to "Black Flag." They are trying too hard...

Exactly why punk of today is not punk. You don't have to "try" to be punk. You just are or are not.

Exactly. Most people looking at me are stunned that I play metal guitar. I do not look the part.

I don't need to look punk or act punk. I learned that. I just happen to be your everyday shredding clean-cut guy.

I'm not punk. But I can play it. No need to be something other than what I am.

I've heard parts of Henry Rollins spoken word. someone uploaded it to the old nabster. Funny, insightful to what was going on in the old days. He has a story about a fan who is also a pilot flying him in a small single craft to a show in the north midwest after his scheduled commuter flight gets grounded. He hates flying.

I remember when the misfits were popular for like a minute in the eighties. I took a lot of flack for liking them. Now it seems that they are more popular than ever and for a much longer time with kids that weren't even born back then.

To bad you don't have pictures of the dew Chris. I have a few of mine, saving them to torture my kids later in their lives.

Ok, Ministry side projects: 1000 Homo DJs, Acid Horse (got both of these with my order), Revolting Cocks (or Revco)

Skinny Puppy begat Front Line Assembly with Bill Loeb (Bloeb) which begat Delirium.

You forgot Pigface (I think). It had guy from Ministry, Skinny Puppy's drummer, and Trent Reznor. It was an experimental thing, they had two full double bass drum kits. It was pretty cool!

I saw Ministry in 1990 and Skinny Puppy in 1993 for the Last Rites tour. Fucking wicked stage show for Puppy!

Ah.... the days of black clothing, spiky hair and freaky women...

Lets talk old punk. DK'S, JFA, Ramones, Circle Jerks, MDC, Misfits, Suicidals, Agent Orange to name a few.

Those days were great. Makes me want to experience a hardcore movement.

I just bought the best of the Ramones the other day. Yep, gotta love that stuff too!
