Picked Sarah up from the mall and got to the DZ just in time to make the last load. One jump from 12,500'. Sharon scored a case of Red Bull for me from Sams'. The sugar-free kind, so Sarah won't be ganking it on me. Spent Sunday in the garage finishing the doors for the kitchen cabinets, then the dish guy came and hooked me up. 180 channels, 8 HBO, 6 or 8 Cinemax, and a whole bunch of other stuff - 3 receivers including 1 DVR receiver - Couch potato city!! And then, my kitty got sick. Since I'm looking at a $900 vet bill, I really couldn't justify jumping. Plus, I'm worried out of my mind about my cat, so I probably wouldn't have had much fun anyway. Good good weekend. 2 freeflies including a totally sweet 4 or 5 point 3 way sit from 8500, a jump RW with SDGregory, 2 Birdman flights including a 2 way (climb out of a 182 with 2 Birdmen is interesting), and a very sweet 1 point RW/clear and pull. I floated off the strut, Brendon dove it we docked, tracked and pulled all in about 6 seconds. I grabed his pilot chute under canopy and he turned into a wuss and ran away as I tried to stack on him I had the canopy with in a foot or two for a good 15-20 seconds too. Got to meet a few more (new to me) DZ.commers, saw some old friend DZ.commers, and had a blast with the jumps I did. Got initiated into the Pink Mafia - however Barbie decided that she wanted her own freefall when I went to put her in my jumpsuit. All in all - a totally awesome weekend - excluding the cold weather that we were in. Boy...am I getting spoiled with Florida weather. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly!
