Gawain 0 #2 March 2, 2004 QuoteBut decided to vote NO: Prop 55-56 Yes: 57-58 Those are good choices. Prop 56 scares me, especially with the current legislature. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Nightingale 0 #3 March 2, 2004 My votes: YES on 55. I've been a teacher. I've had a classroom where my students textbooks were infested by bookworms because we didn't have funding for new books. My ceiling was falling down because of rain, and we couldn't afford to fix it, so we had class in a corner of the gym while the PE classes played basketball. Anything that gives funding to schools gets my vote. NO on 56. I don't like making it easier for them to raise taxes. YES on 57 and 58. I don't like borrowing from the future, but without the bond money, we'd have to cut too much from too many important things. I didn't vote for Arnold, but I'm willing to give him a chance here. His plan is better than the alternatives I've read. I figure we can give it a shot, because our debt can't get much worse.
Michele 1 #4 March 2, 2004 Yes. I'm voting. Always do. More than that isn't necessary, but I bet you all can guess. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
