We wree brough up around guns, my whole family had guns. But we were also raised with a strict policy towards our parents.Under no circumstance were we ver allowed in our parents room. that was off limits. If it wasnt ours or didnt belong to us, we didnt touch it. I was never allowed in my fathers workshop without him with me. I was never allowed in the basement with the reloading equipment unless he was with me. He didnt lock any doors to keep us boys out, WE KNEW BETTER!!!! My son is 10, he has more than 15 guns to his collection, he started shootinf when he was 5, I bought him a chipmunk .22 . He was taught the same thing I was taught, I was taught by my father who my grand father taught and his dad etc etc. None of my guns are locked, none will ever be, His guns are locked in a browning 4 bolt safe due to him living with his mother who is anti-gun( I think thats why I continue to buy him more LOL).
