Deucipoo
Gravity Girl
VideoScooter
GirlfallDown
Geno
Jsaxton
Tall Guy

Etc

AND it looks like ti will be partay down this weekend at Byron

You could head out to Lodi. If I remember correcctly it is about 1 hour from Sac....

Sure there are some Friday jumpers on here for there!

Scott C.

There are no fun jumpers allowed at Lodi, either??? What is going on here?? >:(

They show no rates and no mention whatsoever of experienced jumpers...neither did that Skydance Davis website...sup with that??

I dunno about Byron...mapquest says it's an hour and a half south...I'd have to rent a car, then drive down at 2pm...then I still don't have my gear in, so I'd have to rent again. Not sure I want to rent gear. Not sure I'd want to have to wait to sober up to drive back 1 1/2 hours north to the airport after hangin' out...of course that's less than half the time I drove down to Aggieland. Hmmm...decisions decisions...:P:S

I just realized that the more DZ.commers that meet me in person, the less anonymity I have...I don't think I want people to meet me after all. I think I kind of enjoy people's misconceptions that perhaps I'm some skinny 23 year old sky-diva and that my husband is wayyyy lucky. :P:)
-And furthermore, if I actually jump with people, they will then also realize how bad I suck at skydiving as well.

Best save all of the horrifying reality for home. Screw it, I'm just gonna fly home early. Online ACME is enough for anyone. :S:P;)

Oh yes they do! Friday is supposed to be nice weather! Call manifest for info/directions 1-800-SKYDIVE. Driving time is about equal to Lodi or Davis. (they are both 43 miles from my house...what's up with that?) I've never jumped at Lodi so I know nothing about it. Skydance has a 182 and a Caravan.

Why not just book your return flight for Saturday night or Sunday? I guarantee you'll have a good time in Byron this weekend. There are several good things going on.

Lodi and Davis both have fun jumpers. They just don't have it on the website. Byron is more fun though :PNot that I don't like Davis or Lodi. I just know more people in Byron.

I was living in Davis when I started my jumping career. I did my first 300 or so skydives at Lodi. There's plenty of fun jumping in both places.

Rancho Cordova is significantly closer to Lodi than it is to Davis, but it's still less than 40 minutes to either.

If you want to jump cheap, and see a real "old school" dropzone, go to Lodi. if you want a more conventional DZ feel, go to Davis. I personally prefer Davis, but that's probably because Bill (Lodi's DZO) doesn't care for us "rockhoppers" too much.

Lodi is 25 mins from where you'll be. They are always flying the fast Beech 99 on fridays or the Otter on the weekends, and jumps are $15 to 13,000ft.
Big landing area next to the hanger and plenty of carpeted packing area, or packers if you need one?
There's plenty jumpers to jump with too.
I'll be there, so look me up.

-What do they have to rent? My gear won't be here yet...I'm stil waiting on it...[:/]

I'd jump student stuff no problem. NOTHING less than a 190. No way, no how. Oh Lordy here I go again...:S:P

Ok, I'll book the flight out late...then I'll just fly stand-by early if I chicken out. ;)

YES, they have GREAT student/rental gear.
All NEW Wings containers from large harness to small, with all NEW Triathalon canopies from 220, 190, and down to 135's. The gear all has Cypres too. Rental helmets even have audibles in them.

and watch out for the damn vineyards out there.:P

I second that. I had a spot down there on some big ways last fall and it was way out over the "grapes". Ended up landing next to the highway at least a mile from the DZ.

Skydiving can always be an adventure and its not over till you have a beer in your hands back at the DZ!!
