So where is this video I keep hearing about?

Ok well I went to Ramon's last night and he used premiere to stick it on a cd for me, however, we haven't compressed it or anything yet... still in need of help. Its an avi. file... Tim's coming back into town and there are a couple more guys who know what they're doing with computers so once again, I will try and get it up later today. Thank you for your patience while we work to serve you better :)

Download that. Use the Progessive web download option. Encode it for about 200-300k VCR with FM quality sound. It takes about 3-4 minutes to convert per minute of video.

The vid is finished but it's over 200 megs... When the magic of compression has taken place, and it’s residing on a webserver, the link will be posted. At the moment, the video is on my camera, Brits camera, and a couple of DVDs edited by The Flying Arab. He put them in the mail yesterday. We have plenty of offers to host it so that's covered.

Patience my friends... there is vid... it really happened, and we'll show it when we can.

Can't wait to see it, Tim...still glad you guys are OK, still owe you both beer on demand, ;)

John dropped in to H-town on Saturday, and was telling us some of the stories of stuff you guys have done in the past...so I was right, you do do shit like this all the time. ;) He mentioned something about a sheet, the roof, and the two of you deciding to skydive for the first time...:)

Take it easy, hope to see ya soon.

You're sorta correct:P We (my brother and I) have a tendency toward radical behavior. As far as the wrap, that was just me being stupid. You'll see.

Umm, on a scale of 1-10, I'd give that a scare factor of 9.5. The fear was short lived however, as you can see everything happened in seconds. In my head at the moment, time slowed down to nanoseconds. I think the adrenaline somewhat overtook the fear in saying "act now, or you'll both die" kinda thing.

That was incredible that you guys both escaped that mess.

I tried to walk on her parachute like I've done hundreds of times. We were both in deep brakes. I'd asked her to let it fly faster but that didn't happen. Rather than staying at the side, I tried for it any way. This is something I know better than to do.

Blammo, we were wrapped. Luckily Brittany was not flung into the lines as well. After Brittany cutaway, my parachute started to fly again. I was so intent on getting out of the lines that I didn't notice.

As soon as I thought it was clear, I cutaway, there was a line or 2 under my right arm so the parachute came with me. My hand was on the reserve handle already and I fired the reserve right into the mess. That was more of a reflex, and, a reaction to suddenly being hung by my arm.

The canopy trailed along for a bit starting with my arm dragging it down, followed by the reserve bridle and freebag wrapped up in side. The freebag saved me.

There are plenty of lessons, and if ya care to talk about it we're open to it. The blunders were not Brittany's. Since we're here to talk about it, we'd like to expose the mistakes rather than hide them. Pay close attention because even at low wingloadings, the lessons learned here can be very valuable.

Enjoy! Stay safe.
