Handcuff usage

I was chatting with a friend this evening and the subject of handcuffs came up. Don't ask why or how, you don't want to know. She mentioned that when she sees handcuffs on a police officer she often wonders what percentage of those cuffs have seen... err.... "non-official" usage.

So. Those of you out there who own handcuffs, and especially those who must own and carry them as part of your job...

I have never had the urge to use them for um, sport. But, if I had some pink furry ones, I might consider it.

FWIW, they make temporary cuffs out of braided Spectra line now, but it is a one cuff deal, hou have to cut them off.

Nope, I haven't used them recreationally. They refused to issue us the velvet cover that is supposed to go with handcuffs........at least all of the cuffs I've seen before had a velvet cover.

Right, but we weren't discussing that stuff. We were discussing the official police stuff. And whether the folks who have to carry it ever use it for more... interesting purposes....

I don't think I'm ever going to be in Law Enforcement, but it seems that every household should have at least ONE pair!!! Am I wrong here??!? Isn't that just as necessary as like an oven or TV?
