DJL 235 #1 March 5, 2004 I missed it. What did he do to Sue?"I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
Nutz 0 #2 March 5, 2004 During the immunity challenge last week, they had to walk on a balance beam of sorts. He of course was doing it naked and out in the middle they had wide areas where you could get by people. So anyway, he stood on one of the wide areas and waited for her and rubbed himself all over her. I didn't see it as any kind of sexual violation. (He's gay after all) He just wanted to piss her off and that is exactly what he did. I think she didn't think she could win and the only way to make any money would be to sue him. I don't see her winning any suit but with today's jurys, anything is possible "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"
bsoder 0 #3 March 5, 2004 heh... when my wife and I watched that last night, I told her, "If that had happened to you, I'd expect you to grab him by the weenie and throw him off the platform." I'm sorry if it hurt her feelings but it sure seemed like a pretty minor deal.
jb092 0 #4 March 5, 2004 QuoteSo anyway, he stood on one of the wide areas and waited for her and rubbed himself all over her. She waited and blocked his way. He went towards her raised his hands and said something like wooohooo. She laughed at the time. Our theory is she knew she wasnt going to win and decided she had an opertunity to sue for that. She did tell Rupurt she was gonna sue for 10 mill!! What could possibly go wrong?
DJL 235 #5 March 5, 2004 Quotefor 10 mill!! Yeah, because Hatch has 10 mil. Well, she didn't speak about is until after the episode so she's obviously in step with the network."I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
skymama 37 #7 March 5, 2004 QuoteOur theory is she knew she wasnt going to win and decided she had an opertunity to sue for that. She did tell Rupurt she was gonna sue for 10 mill!! I was talking with my son about this today. Since she's on the show, she obviously wants money. She has no problem having negative publicity. She probably had already realized she's not liked well enough to make it to the end. So, she took the opportunity of having the cameras on her as proof to her pain and anguish if she takes it to court. She'll probably sue Hatch AND CBS if she does. In the end, she'll end up being the best player if she pulls this off!She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
flyangel2 2 #8 March 5, 2004 QuoteIn the end, she'll end up being the best player if she pulls this off! So true. If Richard had done that to me, I would have turned around, pointed, laughed and said "Is that all your got?" flyangel2 2 #10 March 5, 2004 QuoteTherefore, anyone who watches Survivor is dumb. I love that show. In fact, I applied and went through the first interview to get a slot. Because of health issues, I was turned away.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. happythoughts 0 #15 March 5, 2004 1. Everyone knew that RH ran around in the buff before the show. 2. Everyone saw him do it during the show. 3. Everyone knew they would be in physical contests with him. 4. Everyone knew there would be contact. He may have overstepped the boundary of "incidental contact" by intentionally rubbing on her. He did use the contact for the purposes of harrassment. Her side: harrassment TV producers side: she knew it going in. The purpose of going on the show is to win money. They aren't really "surviving" or competing. She will win a lot of money in the lawsuit. Seems like she will succeed in the basic purpose of being on the show without being on it. Luna 0 #16 March 5, 2004 They were on the Early Show together this morning, and she said she was not going to sue. She's still bothered by it, but she's moving on. They've talked it out, their perspectives are different (she: He violated me. he: She was taunting me), and he's very sorry that she felt violated the way she did. She said that CBS and Mark Burnett have been really good to her, helping her get over it (I am guessing this maybe means they provided her counseling...?). That's very funny. I'm guessing it means they provided her with an out of court setlement, so the silly woman would shut upYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS!
