FallingILweenie 0 #6 March 9, 2004 The Hunt for Red October has some great music. Run Lola Run as well. can't think of more right now, tho right on with the Elfman...
kelel01 1 #7 March 9, 2004 Braveheart. And Cruel Intentions has the most APPROPRIATE soundtrack I've ever heard. It's like every song was written specifically for its part of the movie. Kelly
AggieDave 6 #8 March 9, 2004 QuoteThe Hunt for Red October has some great music Oh hell yeah! Its great to study to as well. As for music, I'd say that West Side Story, Lenord Bernstein, is the best. I freak'n love Lenord Bernstein's music.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
littledebbie000 0 #9 March 9, 2004 I would have to say that my all time favorite is Platoon. Also Gladiator and The Godfather.
quade 4 #10 March 9, 2004 A couple of interesting ones to check out: The Eiger Sanction - music by John Williams The Rocketeer - music by James Horner The Right Stuff - music by Bill Conti (et al) Das Boot - music by Klaus Doldinger All of these have some incredible instumental tracks.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
The111 1 #11 March 9, 2004 Requiem for a Dream has some amazing music that fits the mood of the film. All of PTA's movies are so much about the music it's ridiculous: Magnolia - He actually wrote the movie to fit around Aimee Mann's music, not vice versa. Punch-Drunk Love - I've known many people who can't stand the music but there's no denying its overwhelming role in the film... to quote a friend - "The music is so powerful it's like another character!" The Mad World cover in Donnie Darko is pretty awesome too... Oh and I just watched The Graduate this weekend, Paul Simon was perfect for that...www.WingsuitPhotos.com

lawrocket 3 #18 March 9, 2004 Number 1 is easily "JAWS" I'm trying to think of another score that is instantly linked with the movie's topic. Others include: 2) The Right Stuff 3) Braveheart 4) Platoon (the adagio is so splendid) 5) The Godfather (I would actually hum it while taking tests) My wife is hotter than your wife. TheBile 0 #25 March 10, 2004 John Barry did some soothing stuff, but the top three film scores for me are :- 3rd : Total Recall by Jerry Goldsmith 2nd : Dinosaur by James Newton Howard 1st : Transformers the Movie by Vince DiCola. It took me absolutely ages to obtain this soundtrack because it was only released several years after the film was released, and even then it was only released at on of the Annual 'BotCon' conventions in a limited number. Collectors would be willing to pay up to $100 for it today.Gerb I stir feelings in others they themselves don't understand. KA'CHOW !
